@Bubbler ah, but do we have a challenge which is to write a program which adds two numbers in one language but performs a primality test in other?
ugh, tfw you click on "show 1 more comment" and you click and 1 comment actually disappears... codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/214291/17602

What is the consensus here for code sharing between two asked for functions? E.g. codegolf.stackexchange.com/q/214277/95594 – can I declare table in the first function and use it in the second? Couldn't find the answer in Meta.

@xash I don't remember any discussion on meta about that either. In such case, you should ask the challenge author for clarification.

1:42 AM
Yeah I ask each time and often get different responses

@cairdcoinheringaahing I've reported it and a CM should look into it soonish
it looks to be an actual bug, since the privilege page still displays it as 1

Ideally it'd be great to have "see vote counts" at 1 rep too

... I dunno if they'll let us change "Established users" to 1 rep

(When a userscript allows to circumvent the restriction over entire SE, why keep the restriction at all?)

@Bubbler Probably because it's expensive
Though we're a small enough that it shouldn't really matter

6:03 AM
And it also says "It's possibly something we could do on demand", which already works that way, and AFAIK it works on SO, the heaviest site on the network

@Razetime have you tried removing the flag?
Because it seems removing the flag helps
Yeah you should definitely try removing the flag
@Razetime did you remove the flag?

ok just did 👍

Good

A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

LyxalAOG Day 6: Filtering the Playlist I promise the next one will be better code-golf internet parsing decision-problem You've sent the invitations for the party (and made the postperson do a whole lot more work than they should have, smh), made the decorations as interesting as possible (who doesn't...

@NewSandboxedPosts :o wowie that's my epic sandbox post :pogchamp:

@Razetime Yep, as @Lyxal pointed out it was the -x flag, which reduces an array by addition before outputting. You can replace the mX{ at the beginning with £.

Q: Can you solve maximum gap for a chain of elements in SQL?

Peter Mølgaard PallesenI have a chain of elements each having a max gap to next. So I want to calculate the "distance" matrix. So take the following 4 element: example_id,id,max_gap 0,0,2 0,1,5 0,2, 0,3,4 then the max_gap between each element should be the following for this example example_id,id,max_gap 0,0,0,0 0,0,...

Q: Day of Week - Natural language processing and date parsing

Zsolt SzilagyYou'll get a human-readable question matching one of the following syntaxes, and are expected to print the corresponding result. Finding similarities between the human-readable inputs and matching them with minimum size code is explicitly part of the task, so I won't give a formal definition. "W...

I know it's old, but does anyone else think this is severely lacking detail (as pointed out be xnor), and seems to be asking for an unobservable requirement in that k must be of the form ax+b?

This is the oldest non-closed code bowling challenge. Let's fix that :p
(It lacks a lot of clarity, and for some reason wants all answers to be public domain (?))

> Readability: 25 for legible, 50 for very clear
Man I keep getting myself kicked of the recent Suggested Edits review thing cause of my tag edits :(

We have found the perfect scoring criterion at long last :p

4:24 PM
@RedwolfPrograms Just a reminder that if the scoring criteria is the main issue with a challenge, we do have a specific VTC reason for that
As it looks like you're going through questions looking for close-worthy ones :P

Just the two oldest, no reason to close a bunch at a time
But I ran into the first one with the random button, noticed how bad it was (by today's standards), then thought "I wonder if there're any others"

I really should use the random button more :/
Although, is it possible @RedwolfPrograms to have it able to open the question in a new tab if you shift-click it (like a normal link)? That's the main reason I don't usually use it tbh

Actually, never thought about that. I'll update it.
Wait, shift click? I always used control click.

Uh, might be control click
some button + click
Wow, that was a bad spelling

Q: When did the biggest meta review feedback vs main site feedback contradiction happen?

Teddy BearAs you probably know, there is a Sandbox meta post for users to post potential Code Golf posts. Users can get advice and have their post reviewed with meta votes. I want to know when the biggest meta review feedback vs actually posting on the main site feedback difference happened. For example, a...
