@Downgoat wtf?

@Riker well it is not nice to make fun of ones with disabilities

I'm not making fun of it, but I'm confused at how it was born/made/whatever
looks like a pretty happy goat, +1

A: Sandbox for Proposed Challenges

GryphonPrisoner's Dilemma v.3 - Petri Dilemma A mad scientist has just created a new species of bacterium! He has decided to name it Noblus Gentlemanus, after observing its behaviour. However, his bacteria have ran out of food, and are have declared war, as they are able to harvest other bacterium's ...

@KritixiLithos Kaivos.org should be online again.

@WheatWizard how do the 12 different topologies actually affect the program?
in klein
I don't see any advantage to using 1 over another

furthermore, is there a way to change topologies in the program?

When you go off the edge the topology determines where you end up

ah

@Riker No its set at the beginning and never changes

9:46 PM
That would be like, reflection or something.

hm
it might be nice to have a way to change toplogies in the program itseld
just a thought
*topologies

Yeah
I'll think about it
could be cool

Is every topology TC?

maybe a command that checks the top 3 items on the stack/scope? and switches to topology x%3+y%3+z%3
with x y z being the top items on the scope
i.e. 4 5 6 would be top 120

wait a sec isn't there a 30-day delay until you can change your username again anymore?

9:48 PM
yes

I think it might have quietly been reverted

but there's a 5 min grace period

See: Mendeleev

See: Wheat Wizard

Wheat Wizard has been Wheat Wizard for a long time

9:49 PM
although I've seen that many users could change their name after a day or two not 5min
@Phoenix multiple daily changes for a mysterious reason

@WheatWizard this is a cool language fwiw
if I was better at math this would be really cool

I remember changing my name like this:
Έρικ Κωνσταντόπουλος -> Eʀɪᴋ ᴛʜᴇ Gᴏʟꜰᴇʀ -> ErikGolferエリックゴルファー -> ErikGolfer (11) -> Erik the Outgolfer
such a hell-like situation but I at least finally settled on a name that would rarely change...

@Phoenix I think so, I'm working on implementing a turing machine without the wrap around

> (c) 2016
time to update isn't it?
also I had Erik the Golfer as 3rd name...forgot to include it perhaps

10:32 PM
@EriktheOutgolfer first one is so epic

@EriktheOutgolfer April fool, I believe

@EriktheOutgolfer In chat, you can change your display name fairly rapidly by having different display names on different sites, and changing your parent site.

Anonymous
"Please don't do that" should go without saying

There used to be an unintended behavior where you could (iirc) change your display name on one site, save it to all sites, and then change it on another site and save it to all sites again, getting around the cooldown.

I'm pretty sure the SE overlords patched that one after Geobits abused it a lot :P

@Mego Wait Geobits did something wrong?!!

@Christopher you say this like it's very surprise :P

11:28 PM
@Downgoat it's very suprise
The first time I was told about shouldiblamecaching.com was on mother-meta and it was the caches fault :|

@Christopher Not really wrong. He just found an unintended behavior that was mostly harmless, verified it (and had some fun in the process), and then reported it.

@Mego I just wanted to have found something that geobits did wrong. The search continues...

@Christopher here is one: marky >:P

@Downgoat What?

oh, Geobits made an evil bot named marky
it has done unspeakable things

11:32 PM
PSA: Free Overwatch weekend 5/26 - 5/29
@Downgoat Somehow I doubt geobits made an evil bot...
No chat transcript no proof

I missed it...
@Geobits can I have the marky code or could you start him again?

@Christopher not good idea:

@Downgoat Rip chatgoat

There are letters on my keyboard

@Geobits wait :O if we run bot on Evil Sheep, that means Marky will kill Evil Sheep not Chatgoat :D!!!

It was turned into a gallery where people have to request access

Presumably because people liked to go in there and break bots and get them to say bad things

Ah. So I suppose I could still use the sandbox to bot test.

Which I can construct words out of

11:54 PM
I ended up locking it because people kept making accidentally or deliberately obscene bots and I was sick of the flags. I was going to figure out some kind of whitelist system but gave up and now only use it for testing Smokey NG

Question: if a hash function returns a giant integer such as 574293, how does one put that into a bucket. Do I have a giant bucket of size 600000
or am I misunderstanding hash table works

@Christopher Marky resides on a hard drive that's in an unmarked box somewhere. It may be a while.

@Downgoat you are misunderstanding how hash table works

Which travel long distances to people

The hash is modded by the current capacity

11:58 PM
that seems error prone. Or better question: then how is bucket size determined?
SO says 70% of max size IIUC

@Downgoat oh my god what is wrong with him
