I think I almost never want to keep the condition, and when I do, I usually know if it's 0 or "" so I can get it back with a single character. (Or two in the very rare case that the falsy value is 0c.)

The current behaviour of h can be recovered with _}g.

there's some ambiguity for ArrayList Block +, which could be resolved in favour of the block, but I think there are enough binary operators that are undefined for blocks yet such that you wouldn't even have to use +.

I can only recall two pinned messages in the last couple months. I don't think "less frequent" is true at all.

The other one is about standard terms used in challenge specifications, whereas I thought yours was about technical terms used commonly in answers.

I was mainly posting it so that other people could add answers asking for definitions.

(Although I'm not sure how on-topic your question is for meta, but I wouldn't just outright delete it.)

@Geobits around here I've only seen them used in conjunction with J (or maybe some other APL-family languages)

where "tacit" means "point-free" and "monadic" means "unary".

I just don't know if this Q is going to end up as anything but a target for "go read the dictionary" replies.

@MartinBüttner I think I've seen people use "monad" in general when talking about other esolangs. I hadn't noticed "tacit" used at all here, really.

If someone uses a word I don't recognize, my first thought is not to search our own meta for a definition.

@MartinBüttner Yea, but I don't think that helps the dictionary case. If I put something as simple as "method" or "function" as a word-needing-defined, I might get several answers depending on the language of the answerer.

For some reason I have never felt the need to understand an APL or J post (I really only care about a handful of languages), but if I wanted to understand and I failed, I would probably just downvote the post. I wouldn't leave a comment for fear of appearing to be dumb.

Depends. If, given an honest effort, the post is too convoluted or badly explained to comprehend, it could fall into the "not useful" area.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. Either I am not smart enough to understand the post, or the explanation is not sufficient enough to convey how it works.

@Rainbolt If you leave a comment that something isn't clear, I'm sure most people would around here would be friendly enough to explain it to you in a different way or edit their post. If it actually turns out you overlooked something obvious you can always delete your comment.

Here I judge them more as useful to the site, as in, "do I want to see more of these here". I don't downvote something just because I don't like it, but if all answers here were a jumble of code and a bad explanation, that would be bad.
