@BetaDecay I printed mine, drew boundaries with pen, then typed them all in, blacking out each piece as I typed it. Then I printed it again to check the pieces against the grid to make sure I didn't typo. Yes, it was a pain :P
I have a distinct memory of looking at that Wikipedia page and comparing the step-by-step calculations it shows with a GolfScript program I was working on.
@professorfish The spec says "You must use the same exact programming language as the crossword was given in, but otherwise any solution that matches all the clues is valid.", so yes, Martin has solved it.
It would be unfair to expect the robbers to get the exact same solution when there may be many possible.
I know you said more whitespace but that should be thought of as a hint, not a restriction.
Write a program that seemingly adds the numbers 2 and 2 and outputs 5. This is an underhanded contest.
Your program cannot output any errors. Watch out for memory holes! Input is optional.
Redefining 2+2 as 5 is not very creative! Don't doublethink it, try something else.
@A.L sorry, but that happens every now and then. if you feel your proposal is being ignored, it's usually a good idea to remind people about it in here before posting it. not on weekends though, there's barely anyone here.
I agree that the rules were unclear (and may still be), but that's frustrating to see that even if I took my time and left my question 2 months in the sandbox nobody cared before I posted it to the main page.
@hosch250: badges are ordered from popular to rare ones, I think it's the core function of the website to order badges in this way. But I will see if I can add some jQuery to allow the user to re-order the tables by column
