@cairdcoinheringaahing I have an idea to salvage your deleted sandbox post. Instead of having each different subset of words, make it so that one has to blank out the appropriate letters in a sentence to make the input word.
E.g. "I do not control the speed at which lobsters die", "code" -> "*********co**************d***************e******"
That's a bit more true to the subreddit anyway
And the distance between blanked letters must be minimal
E.g. "testcase string", "tas" should be ***t*as******** not t****a***s******

Q: Make an output function from a language to another

Mark GiraffeThis challenge revolves around getting the functionality of a single output function and reimplementing it to another language. Syntax doesn't matter, only functionality.

@petStorm I have three of them. They are called Google, Wikipedia, and OEIS.
Now I have four: Google, Wikipedia, OEIS, and Puzzling SE.

Q: How should answers that time out be judged?

Rosie FSuppose a challenger submits a code-golf challenge to do a particular task, together with test inputs. (That is, they've determined that, in order to be convinced that the code in an answer correctly performs that task, it must do the right thing when given each of those test inputs.) How should ...

Q: Tic Tac Toe challenge

eligolfI spent yesterday evening to challenge myself to program the smallest playable version of one of the most well-known games out there: Tic Tac Toe. Mainly for fun, and to learn a bit more about Python in general. Some requirements for the challenge: A reasonable user interface (e.g. input moves a...

@10k+ users: Can we get a couple of delete votes on this and this?
Also, both of these two related questions have 3 VTCs as "Too broad", but no comments explaining why. Would someone mind explaining?

@Lyxal Well, I've gotten 21 bytes in Jelly, so that's probably quite a good challenge idea, drafting now :)

@RedwolfPrograms On SO, people seem a lot less generous with their upvotes. Here, I upvote most answers I see. There, I usually only upvote if I'm sure it works or if it's really good. I also find myself closing questions more over there. Not sure why.
Anyone else feel like helping with bounties for Best of CGCC 2020?
