I eventually realized that whoever bought this server (and left the office before I could talk to them) didn't buy an actual server license, or an ILO license for that matter. So now it's running ubuntu server with Windows 10 Pro in KVM.

Completely by coincidence, this server, which has really loud fans, ended up in close proximity to that person's desk.
