¬¬¬¬¬¬¬

well I really have to work on hw
BAI

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ 49 commits to get this: github.com/cheddar-lang/cheddar-lang.github.io/blob/master/… really?

@QPaysTaxes It was imported from rikerw.github.io....
I was lazy and wanted it set up fast.

Oh

48 were left over.

11:11 PM
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ How do I help with It
I knows javascript
And html
And bootstrap and stuff
and I am good at googling :P
Cause if you are a programmer and not good at googling you suck at programming
2
exception: jon skeet
Wow I have like a bunch of starred messages today
shouldn't I get some kind of badger for that

class Animal(String: Name, Int: Age) {
   /* variable initialization is implicit
    * but you can explicitly declare a
    * main {} block to initialize your variables
    */

   speak => "Hello, my name is #{self.Name}, I am #{self.Age} years old"
}

@epicTCK don't worry, I got it.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ is that from the website?

@Downgoat That could be a problem if you want to take data that you want private/not a part of the thing

@epicTCK i am a good googler
i have google fights
@QPaysTaxes no?

Scoping works (half of a huge milestone) @CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ plz unendent the code block under the <<bullet point

11:19 PM
@epicTCK I don't maintain the webpage. That would be... @EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ GO FIX IT
plz and thx :)

dude working on it
stahp

yeah that's what they all say >_>

if you look I am committing furiously

can I help

11:19 PM
because I have like 50 more issues.. just saying.

because I am dealing with a undocumented thing that is trail and error

<?php echo "oh noes not PHP" ?>

^
is not is html and js

@Quill Golfed: oh yes HTML

@epicTCK it should be fixed

11:22 PM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ what do you mean by that?

if not clear cache

@Downgoat Say I want to make a class like this:
function Bear(someValue, age){
	this.age = age;
	if(someValue > 10) this.age += someValue;
}

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ ✅ instead of [x]

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ ok

I would have to keep someValue as a method, whereas I would want to discard it
@epicTCK no

11:24 PM
Ug it looks better

Can I press the button @Downgoat

@epicTCK not working yet
@QPaysTaxes not in strapdown

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ isn't someValue a integer not a method?
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ sure

@Downgoat whatever. what I meant is that it gets passed on to the class implicitly, by the example

11:25 PM
> GitHubby
TIL @QPaysTaxes married Github.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ though the name makes it sound like we do too much drugs

@Downgoat sighs
one sec
Well, I can't change the name
deletes

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ yeah, if you didn't want someValue to be implicitly added. Using a main {} block, will prevent implicit property-adding

11:26 PM
@QPaysTaxes nope not for me

@Downgoat page not found in README link in cheddar, and thus on the website

@Downgoat please accept my request so I can delete it
or naw that works too

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ what requset?

11:27 PM
@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ oh, I'd fix it but I'm too lazy

ooo I want to write a cheddar lib. can it extend the operators?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ sure

wait is it like Math in JS or is it like import numpy in python

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ your choice
your package can be part of the standard library or a separate package

11:29 PM
oo. I'd probably make it a sep. package because it would mainly add a bunch of symbolic operators :P
#lovesOperators

it ok
Would it be "okay" to name it o?
excuse you
excuse me

@EᴀsᴛᴇʀʟʏIʀᴋ what does this commit do?

that was an accident
sowee
never fixed because it doesn't matter

@QPaysTaxes what is that

11:34 PM
@QPaysTaxes but it was to the README of the main cheddar repo..... >.<
@Downgoat markdown renderer for html, I had 2 files open at the time.

oh ok
can you use custom domain with Github pages?

yeah
@QPaysTaxes sowee, okai?
sorry * 2

Butchered spellings and intentionally poor English were/are mildly amusing at first...but it's been weeks and months, and it's just a mild annoyance now.

Would it be "okay" to name it o?

Q: Why does HTML think “chucknorris” is a color?

user456584How come certain random strings produce various colors when entered as background colors in HTML? For example: <body bgcolor="chucknorris"> test </body> ...produces a document with a red background across all browsers and platforms. Interestingly, while chucknorri produces a red back...

11:37 PM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ name what?

@Downgoat the lib

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ sure

:D
@Downgoat noice

What's a good ID format to use? I'm thinking like 6 or 7 Base64 characters

that is good

11:43 PM
@Quill 7 base64 chars imo

7 trillion sounds alright

...

64^7 = 4,398,046,511,104

@Quill use 11 base 64 chasr then

11:45 PM
I don't need to invent YouTube or something >_<

$ bc <<< "64^11"
73786976294838206464
@Quill you do if you want to make good money

How should I explain to my friend that apps != websites

you need internet for websites
unless you have it live ;p

@epicTCK ask him to install a website from the app store

+1 for passive agressive sarcasm

11:48 PM
@Downgoat kk

@epicTCK pretty much

@Downgoat we need better checkboxes.

@Downgoat What do I put into the lib folder?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ create a config.ini just like in the math and date folders. Then just add files however you want

Is there a general format the files follow?

11:55 PM
yeah but I haven't descided on that yet

Oh, okay. Tell me when ya do :)
If I press "delete this repository" on a fork, it deletes the fork not the original, right?
