@NewSandboxedPosts o hai

@AlexA. No, it doesn't

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Screw it - go ahead and steal my method if you want, I don't know JS. xD

@RikerW What?

That really doesn't make him look good.

You mean being the first to get the Onion Knight hat doesn't make @quartata cool?
I think he's cool regardless. B)

9:09 PM
aw.
Ooh.
I inverted the hair.
It now forms a beard.

Good god, spam with a beard?

Yup.

@FlagAsSpam It looks like it's sticking its tongue out at me.

Heh.
Gimme a sec, I'm changing the pic.

I felt pretty confident about this math until I drew the conclusion that, if a woman's weight changes by -6/(3 + 0.02t) lbs each week she participates in a workout program, and she wants be 25 lbs lighter than her current weight when she gets married, she should start working out 50 weeks after the wedding.
Somehow that doesn't seem right.

9:14 PM
@FlagAsSpam Oooh, good idea. My Archimedes is now a bathtub.

@Doorknob冰 When I first saw it I already thought it was a bathtub on your head.

hahaha

Now it's bathknob.
@undergroundmonorail Seems legit. Retroactive weight loss is the way of the future.

secret hat?

wait... Archimedes... bathtub...

@Pops ... I'm an idiot

9:18 PM
Can someone refresh my profile?

Done

Aww, the hat didn't reload!

Oh no
It did for me

C'mon. Really, hats?
Afro-wat?

It's... disturbing.

9:19 PM
xD It's beautiful and we both know it.

@FlagAsSpam I have to agree with alex. Plus when you click the image in chat it takes you to the chat account, which is hatless.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in this case I think your eyes are deceiving you.

@AlexA. rofl

Oh god, the image on this is now terrifying.

A: Why was 6 afraid of 7?

FlagAsSpamJava, 126 81 bytes Edit: I'm pretty sure that functions are allowed by default? If not, just tell me to rollback. ...yup. It's actually longer than I expected - Java replaces items in strings with replaceAll() once per match, not repeatedly until it stops changing. So I had to use a fancy for ...

@FlagAsSpam That is what just popped up for me! It is terrible.

9:23 PM
Yes, the hat fixed on my screen now.
With hat is so much better.
I mean, look at this beauty.

@FlagAsSpam NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Afrowat is coming to town.

so tempting to flag as spam right now

She sees you when you're sleeping.

@RikerW ;_;

9:25 PM
She knows when you're awake.

I'm special
Look there's a post on meta that says how special I am

She's knows if you've been bad or good so hide for all f***'s sake.

@quartata link?

@quartata I changed my mind. You are much better than @FlagAsSpam.

@Eran this user. Credits for finding the user goes to Derpy in chat, I posted here with my own guess. — Shadow Wizard 11 hours ago
Except they keep calling me "the user" which is very dehumanizing

9:26 PM
@FlagAssPam I clicked to your profile and saw the URL. I'm pinging you like this from now on

it reminds me of the tone they use on the SCP Foundation
"The subject" "The anomaly" "SCP-XXXX"

@Doorknob冰 What URL?

The URL of your profile
you have the same problem that expertsexchange has

they usually use preferred names in interviews but it's all very cold and clinical in the documentation

kidsexchange
Get a better font.

9:28 PM
@FlagAsSpam That sounds awful.

I will never unsee this.

It's actually a thing. xD

This and poor keming basically ruin every sign you'll ever see.

Hello
Is anyone actively working on the Rubik’s Revenge challenge posted two days ago?

9:32 PM
@Timwi It's from 2 years ago

^

^^

Yeah but what's the difference

Time

2 days 2 years 2 centuries 2 eons

9:33 PM
the answer is still the same

'Tis all the same

@MartinBüttner this Retina answer - should I add 1 to my score to account for the -s passed to Retina.exe? What's your take?

@DigitalTrauma yes

@DigitalTrauma yes
Flags must always be counted in the score

Fixed my hat.

9:35 PM
@AlexA. Yes - that's my understanding - though I can find some counter examples - e.g. codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/66291/11259

@DigitalTrauma Why is this a counter example?
There don't appear to be any flags

A: Is it a hat or a cake?

FlagAsSpamYes, it is edible. For a while, my profile looked like this: A first, I thought it was a cookie that is in England that has shortbread layers with a cream filling and a jam centered upper layer, called a Jammy Dodger. Which are in and of themselves delicious. I prefer my current hat setup...

-1? D:

@quartata Weird, how did I miss that? Thanks :)

@FlagAsSpam Granted, it adds nothing to the existing answers and seems to primarily have been posted for the sake of silliness.

@AlexA. See: hats
Also - it does add something. I thought it was a jammy dodger.

9:41 PM
@DigitalTrauma The newest version of Retina no longer requires the -s flag. Single file mode is now the default.

@FlagAsSpam You thinking it was a jammy dodger doesn't actually add useful information. You could have left that as a comment.

This is true.
deletes and comments

A: Is it a hat or a cake?

πάντα ῥεῖIt's very probably a cake, since sufganiyot refers to this jiddish hanukka specialty mentioned here, which is kinda cake. And also you can wear it as a hat now here. That's amazing, isn't it?

This is the ideal answer since it actually explains what a sufganiyot is.

@AlexA. I look at this, and I think something must have happened in chat.

Dat rep doe.

9:47 PM
I upvoted it just to make it go away XD

metal \m/

@DigitalTrauma no
As of yesterday, Retina no longer takes the -s flag.
That's default now, and the old behaviour can be recovered with -m.

**Challenge:** Given an arbitrary string of text (ASCII only), find an output of it using the following operations:
* [A-J]: push 0-9 (respectively)
* R: duplicate the top item on stack
* W: Output the top item stack as character
With operations `K-O` being `+-/*%`

Hi guys

Also, I never counted -s because I considered it a standard flag and it would always be possible to get the same byte count or less with separate files.

9:52 PM
@MartinBüttner Oh, ok, makes sense - thanks

@DigitalTrauma also if Retina did still take the flag, it would cost 3 bytes

@MartinBüttner how so?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ "mini"?

There's no replace method for strings in AppleScript.
ಠ_ಠ

@Doorknob冰 Erm. Yes
Is it hard?

9:54 PM
Perhaps, but it's definitely not "mini".

@DigitalTrauma minus, s, space

@El'endiaStarman Oh, right.

@FlagAsSpam What site did you get the "everybody gets a hat" hat on? I got it earlier today on Mathematics.

^ Same.

9:55 PM
@Doorknob冰 can you mod-abuse that mini out of there?

@MartinBüttner Single char flags are usually counted as 1, no?

@MartinBüttner Really? I always thought each flags is just counted as 1

Not unless they can be combined with something like -e
Such that you can do -ne

Come to think of it, it does make sense to count them as 3...
(and -ne as 4)

There's a meta post. Search for "special invocations"
@Doorknob冰 well except that -e counts as a standard flag so it isn't counted

9:56 PM
Danke doorknob :)

@MartinBüttner Only because -ne 'foo' is the same as -n somefile

I'm starting work on a golfy version of Perl.
3 hours ago, by quartata
It'll be postfix (unlike Pyth) and it'll use CP437 for reasons that I'll reveal later

@Doorknob

Booo Perl

9:57 PM
ಠ_ಠ

I see that made Doorknob happy.
Anyways, it'll be transpiled like Pyth. Working on it right now.

@El'endiaStarman I saw this and momentarily assumed flawr had posted it. :P

I call it: pl

@AlexA. LOL. :P

9:58 PM
@quartata that's not going to be confusing at all

Perl, or not Perl? Give me one convincing reason.

@quartata Call it PL/I.
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Not Perl because Perl is bad.

@Doorknob冰 Gotta a better name?

no :P
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Perl because its name is golfier than most languages'

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Perl because eval + -p is a 5 byte REPL
Witness the power

9:59 PM
@AlexA. Not a good reason :P

Btw, 60 kph ~= 37.3 mph, and a two-ton car traveling at that speed has about as much energy as a stegosaurus (or elephant) dropped from the top of a three-story building.

@Doorknob冰 Right
@quartata whoa
