I LOVE PANDORA O^O

I hate it when I'm watching a video and I hear a skype notification and I don't see any new messages. Closes the tab, throws pc out window

I love it when I write code and it just works. Too bad it never happens to me.

@phase "Just works"? Um, no.

the anagram server is down = my life is temporarily in ruins

My new motto

@phase that only means you're not coding enough

@aditsu I'm changing O's output to output the stack when the code ends, and I took me like 10 seconds for it to work perfectly :3

@phase Honestly, the first time in my life this happened to me was just a couple weeks ago when I rolled out the first Rotor interpreter
I'm not sure if it is because it was easy or if code-golf is actually making me better at making stuff

It happens to me a ton when coding C & D, but never when coding Java...

@phase I just found out about D maybe a month ago, I find it really interesting.

12:16 AM
D is really nice

s/D/Java is not

Can a mod remove that gif, it's getting annoying...

We simply need to chat the gif away.

You mean
like
this?
And this?
Or by not spamming...

you could post another gif :D

12:21 AM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ The ends justify the means?

chat the night away
O has been changed to output the contents of the stack when the program ends!

12:47 AM
uh hey could you stop murdering my browser please
4
76 messages moved to Trash
Alright we're done here

this is so cool

@Doorknob wow, harsh :p

on the left it's vim running inside zsh inside rxvt-unicode on my linux laptop, over X11 forwarding to my windows pc

@aditsu you're lucky I didn't decide to just delete them all

on the right it's gvim on windows

12:54 AM
y'd u delete my cool gif?

sigh
I rather enjoyed having >2fps on my browser

am I the only one that's impressed by X11 forwarding running linux applications remotely looking like native applications?

@orlp that's pretty nifty :D

that's expected (obviously, I run linux on both sides)

I love the fact that I can develop on my linux box from windows, from another machine

it doesn't look like you need any X11

@aditsu why not

text mode, ssh should be enough

My reaction when I manage a quite significant golf using a unique (for now) method, and add a thorough explanation, and I get only one measly upvote.

@El'endiaStarman You have two...

1:04 AM
@aditsu wrong
@aditsu that doesn't share clipboard, and only allows terminal-based applications

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ One was before the update.

@El'endiaStarman Ohh

(and text editing without clipboard is hell)

phaseO, 12 bytes j.{{1o}w}Lo? When 0 is inputted, 0 is outputted and the program ends. When 1 is inputted, 1 is outputted forever. Explanation: j. Get the input and clone it { } Push a CodeBlock with {1o}w a while loop that prints 1 forever Lo Make a lambda that pints the top of ...

@aditsu can your textmode SSH connection do this?

Really proud of that answer, as it uses a lot of O 2.0 stuff

Has anyone here got a chatbot template in Java?

@SuperJedi224 IRC, TCP, or whaaa?

@orlp I was just commenting on your first screenshot

1:10 AM
@phase For StackExchange chat.

@phase That's cool, but I still don't really get it. How does the ? if-then-else after everything else work?

Becuase javascript has too many annoying limitations.

Is it that you have a block and a lambda as the previous two, eh, items on the "stack"?
Does O even have a stack?

@El'endiaStarman The "Lambda" is just short for {o}, which pushes a codeblock to the stack
@El'endiaStarman ? pops three values off the stack, one to check if true/false, the true codeblock, and the false codeblock

How does L know how many characters in front to take? Is it just a single character?

1:12 AM
L only takes the first character in front of it

It's only there so you don't have to waist a byte with the end of the codeblock

Why do you need to duplicate the top of stack? You don't use it afterwards...oh, it's for the Lo, right?
gotcha

and for the while loop
the while loop peeks the stack and runs the codeblock if it's truthy

Ahh, okay.

1:14 AM
since it peeks instead of pops, I think I can save a byte....

Yeah, you don't need to duplicate.
Well, unless o errors out when the stack is empty.

I need to duplicate for the if statement, as it pops

I could do j.{{1o}w}Lo? or j.{{.o}w}Lo?, but I think that's as far as it can go :\

Oh, yeah, you'd need the duplicate for both code blocks.
Yeah, I can't see any way to improve it.
You have my upvote now that I understand it. :)

Hipe already made an O answer :P
@El'endiaStarman oh wait, since the stack is outputted at the end of the code, I think I can replace Lo with N (which pushes a blank codeblock)

Just about ready to post this?

What if there's only two elements on the stack and you use ??
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ Give it at least a day more.

@El'endiaStarman underflow error

1:20 AM
Remember my Phi (not Pi) challenge? That was in the Sandbox for three days.
So it turned out great. :D

TBH the voting system is flawed.
Popular people get more upvotes, challenges based off of memes/other people or that are simple are upvoted more, answers that legitimately answer the question and are superior aren't upvoted as much...
Depressing cuz there are enough people who don't like me :P

Well, I concede the name recognition helped, but it was also just a good, simple challenge.

@El'endiaStarman I would have done it except I didn't understand it :P

Okay, what is it specifically that you don't get?

Thanks @El'endiaStarman and @phase

@El'endiaStarman I looked at it really early in the morning, and I just wasn't ready for all that math.

hey all!

1:36 AM
@TanMath o/

@TanMath Hey.
-,..,-

hello @AlienG are you a new member?

Anonymous
@El'endiaStarman you should add the leaderboard snippet to phinotpi

@TanMath O now outputs the stack when your code finishes codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/63988/41711 o-lang.herokuapp.com/link/code=1234&input=

I think I've just been insulted.

1:37 AM
@Mego Good idea!
@AlienG No, I think he just hasn't seen you before.

@AlienG i didn't mean to insult you...sorry!
@phase why are you sending this to me?

@TanMath No, I'm not new. To be honest, I thought you were :P

@AlienG I have never seen you in the chat...
I visit the chat usually everyday...

@TanMath I have never seen you in the chat...

You're both pretty new

Lol ^ true

I visit the chat usually everyday...

I actually was an old member who really didn't do much ... I joined around the beginning of this year.. I took a break of a few months and have come back.. I am now trying my luck at code golf...

@TanMath just cause.... ;____________;

@phase troll!

1:40 AM
@TanMath Well, hello, then.

@TanMath Same way with me ;) look at my rep graph XD

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ yeah.. That is the path I hopefully will follow! :p

@TanMath Yup! Except without all the downvotes along the way.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ yeah!
@AlienG when do you come in chat? for the past week I have been here, but never saw you!

@TanMath Same, I'm literally on all the time O_o
Different timezones?

1:42 AM
@AlienG i am in pacific time zone, US

Anyone knows what a skype URI is?
@TanMath Same, wtf?

@AlienG you are on neptune?

@TanMath Pacific Time Zone for neptune.

1:43 AM
@AlienG oh..hehehe!

I don't get internet sometimes because other planets block my connection.

@Mego Aaand done!

Really, has anyone written a stack exchange chat bot in Java yet?

@AlienG it must be hard for you...
@SuperJedi224 no..because it would be tooo long!

Skype URI too op, allows you to re-join a chat after you leave XD

Because javascript is paranoid about xss stuff.

@Doorknob Our graphs are inverted flawlessly.

Apparently I'm a combination of you two :P

How did you get that graph @Doorknob?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ click on someone...

1:47 AM
I like to say that I am not new..

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ how did you get to that page? By clicking your username. Just click your username and nothing else

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ no.. press the person...

Does anyone here have any idea how to make a chat bot in Java

@El'endiaStarman I got it down to 6 bytes codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/63988/41711

1:48 AM
@Doorknob That's a weird way of putting it.

@SuperJedi224 same as any other language?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ not the user profile, just the person!

What. Do. I. Freaking. Click!

1:49 AM
Oh, sure, show off. :P

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ On your name in this chat room.
But anyway, yeah, maybe I spend too much time in this room... :P

Oh. It's a screenshot.
faceslap

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ the person's name on the chatroom.. nothing else!

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ The little X in the top corner of the window.

1:50 AM
@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ wait...

Who said anything about hate?

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ i think i know why...

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ No hate, just troll

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ is @AlexA.'s sock!

Very benign trolling, if so.

1:51 AM
@TanMath ... Yes.
You have discovered me.

@phase Very nice!

only @AlexA. uses that diapproval face...

Anonymous
@TanMath Why would his sock be better at golfing than him?

Minkolang's is only 5 bytes, so you got pretty close!

1:51 AM
@TanMath So does Alex's other sock.

@Geobits's sock is here!

@Mego since when am I better than golfing at Alex? :/

Yay?

Indeed.

@CᴏɴᴏʀO'Bʀɪᴇɴ You can do better than be Alex's sock. Be Martin's scarf at least!

The best: telnet 192.168.1.1 80 or telnet localhost 80

@Calvin'sHobbies I feel the power of the kickban tool... hehehe

Better than Optimizer's scarf. It probably smells like llama.

@TanMath USE. GODDAMN. SMALLCAPS. ;)
