No
Also avocados are poisonous to cats I believe

They aren't?

Cats are poisonous to avocados

A: A "cheating" quine

VoteToCloseosascript, 33 bytes (read "a")'s paragraphs's item 1 Executing on a file called a with osascript a. Gets the first paragraph (line) of the file and prints it to STDOUT with a trailing newline, therefore the newline in the code.

I beat C!

11:00 PM
@VoteToClose WOOT
@AlexA. Ah yes

easier juic avodad then juic cat
cat no juic

@AlexA. i juic cat all time

...

moist and delishous ja yeshhhhh

I must make a language called avocado that uses that syntax.

11:01 PM
Oh, filenames are finally disqualified.

@mınxomaτ They are? Better delete my Groovy answer then
Was fun while it lasted.
Of course that means my answer is the shortest valid answer mwahahaha
I think Alex just left because of how disturbing my post was lel
It was a joke sorry

Cat juice is bad and you should feel bad.

Cats are liquids.

@mınxomaτ Finally someone who understands
So are olives

11:07 PM

Can't argue with science.

Lol at this url: lifeisajoke.com/Pictures/cat_juice.jpg

uh

@Calvin'sHobbies is the MC server down?

Downtown

11:18 PM
@quartata He's backing it up.
in PPCG Minecraft Server, 55 mins ago, by Calvin's Hobbies
Server down for a bit while I do a backup

lame
I got the "Nice Answer" badge
yay

> lame. I got the "Nice Answer" badge.

Would making a question about making a custom maze with custom requirements be too similar to other maze-related questions?

@AlienG You should really wait before accepting answers.
A week from posting is usually good.

Seems a bit short (for codegolf)

11:31 PM
@AlexA. I can always change the accepted answer....
Also, no one answered my question... .-.

Yes but it's bad practice to immediately accept, unaccept, accept, and unaccept answers ad nauseum. It's best to wait for a while. Some people don't participate in challenges if there's already an accepted answer because it in some ways signifies that the challenge is "over."

@AlienG ^ Just what I was about to say

Q: How long should I wait before accepting an answer?

PyrrhaSuppose I write a code-golf question. How long should I wait before accepting the shortest answer? One week? Two days? More? I checked the FAQ, but couldn't find any information on this topic. Is there a general rule or is it just when the question asker feels like it?

11:34 PM
Hey, I'm new here.

> It's best to wait a week before accepting for the first time, though.
@AlienG We're just trying to help.
Each one of us was new here at some point (and some still are).

@AlexA. Thanks and all, but telling me a million times... .-.
You know.

I only repeat myself because you didn't seem to be following our guidelines.
Just wanted to make sure you got all the information.

@AlexA. Are these guidelines set rules?

Well, it's on meta with an accepted answer. Some would argue that makes it a rule.

11:38 PM
^

I refer to anything not explicitly set by Stack Exchange as a "guideline."

in c you can print an int like printf("%i", x);. what do you call the "%i" there? i want to find a list of them

@undergroundmonorail Format strings

String formatting?

11:40 PM
...Alex's phrasing is better. :P

Printf format string (of which "printf" stands for "print formatted") refers to a control parameter used by a class of functions in the string-processing libraries of various programming languages. The format string is written in a simple template language, and specifies a method for rendering an arbitrary number of varied data type parameters into a string. This string is then by default printed on the standard output stream, but variants exist that perform other tasks with the result, such as returning it as the value of the function. Characters in the format string are usually copied literally...

i don't program in c basically ever but i'm doing a test where i'm allowed to bring in a cheat sheet so i'm writing down weird c things i might have to know
oh wow, thank you!

For what it's worth, Python also has those, and I'm pretty sure most oft-used languages have them.

@AlienG posting a non-dupe maze related question is certainty possible.

@El'endiaStarman GS2 even has them

11:41 PM
yeah but in c i actually have to use them

Haha

@Calvin'sHobbies Is there any way for me to put txt docs in here?

@AlienG pastebin

@quartata What a pain.

@AlienG Or the sandbox
@AlienG Really?

11:44 PM
I made that in 3, 1v1 me.

haha

@quartata Yeah, sorry. Not much longer.

@Calvin'sHobbies /me waits patiently

So does anyone know if that'd be flagged?

@AlienG How do the walls need to be generated? You seem to allow any amount of open spots so could the walls just be the bounding rectangle?

11:47 PM
@AlienG I recommend putting it in the sandbox. If there's a duplicate target, Peter is sure to find it. :P

@Calvin'sHobbies It says a random amount of walls (Within reasonable amount).

@AlexA. AND ping Peter to make sure he sees it. :P

Oh he'll see it. Peter sees all.

He didn't see mine...
Not in the Sandbox anyway.

11:49 PM
Peter sees... most.

@AlexA. Peter sees everything except what he doesn't.

Haha

@AlienG But that's still not well specified. Is random 0 to 5 walls reasonable?

By the way, is it just my challenges or does Thomas Kwa seem to find every tiny detail in challenges?

11:51 PM
@Calvin'sHobbies I can make it more specific, that's not the problem. I just don't know if it'd be flagged...

@ThomasKwa Is it true, do you find all details?

@GamrCorps ^

He finds all details except the ones he doesn't.

:O

11:52 PM
@AlienG Possibly, but it's hard to say without further details

The superhuman ability to find things he finds.
He can even see through windows.

If the challenge is insufficiently specified, someone will find where

does === in javascript mean of same type...?

Means exact same object
Same type and value

I think part of the reason I notice is that I golf in TI-BASIC, and TI-BASIC doesn't support empty arrays
Or string manipulation with empty strings

11:53 PM
Alright, thanks.

@ThomasKwa that causes you to find every possible method of input that may be questionable?

Yes

Usually I ask when I can save bytes by assuming something reasonable.
Which is very often.

@Calvin'sHobbies Should I just go for it? XD
3rd time is the charm.

I'd suggest you post the complete challenge in the sandbox first, as Alex said

11:57 PM
@Calvin'sHobbies Sandbox...? (I'm new here, don't murder me.)
