I only play ranked for the skin rewards at the end of the season, so I'm happy if I get Gold. I started Gold 5 this year and I couldn't be happier, lol

I wanted to try learning jungle yesterday, so I logged into my level 13 smurf to practice... Every single game I got chewed out by some level 5 player (obvious smurf) for not ganking the at the right time, or for dying to a bad dive, or just general playing badly.
I mean, come on! It's a low level normal game. Would you prefer I play new champs/roles in ranked on my main, drop your rank a few levels? Some people need to calm down.
No wonder LoL has problems attracting new players.
