@CharlieBrumbaugh Fair @Sue is pretty good normally with this kind of confused question and will pop an edit in, or add a link to the main focus of the question so you can understand what things are if you don't know.

@Rory Any idea why all the comments (except mine) on outdoors.stackexchange.com/questions/19915/… were flagged for moderator attention? I didn't do it!
@Rory And it is not just the indoor gym question -- it looks like all the comments on many, many questions have been flagged for moderator attention.

@Charlie Brumbaugh It's got to be more than that. If you look at an old question, like your snapping turtle question, all the comments there are flagged. In the process of making the buttons more obvious, it seems that they somehow flagged all comments from the beginning of time.

Q: Flagging a comment displays the word "flag", changes to image of red flag upon reload

Sonic the Inclusive HedgehogSince this change was just rolled out, I noticed a bug in flagging comments. When I submit a comment flag, the vote and flag buttons change to the word "flag" in red-colored text: Then, after I reload the page, it then changes to an image of a red flag: Shouldn't it always display ...

Q: Why are the comment upvote and flag options always appearing now?

Sonic the Inclusive HedgehogI just saw now that a new build had rolled out in which the comment upvote and flag options are always visible. Previously, one had to mouse over the area in order to see them. Why was this just changed? Is it to support touch screens? I'll admit, it was difficult to find the flag button using m...

@CharlieBrumbaugh Hi! Welcome back!! Looks like you had a great adventure. I thought we had agreed, or at least strongly suggested, not to post names of people who said things we're uncomfortable with. You could have posted that without showing who said it. I don't want to be rude but you seem to be the only one still doing that. I really wish you'd find a kinder way to express your frustration.
Hi everyone! I'm on mobile and can't see the flags you're discussing. I'm going to have a look and try to come back late on my regular computer if I can. From a quick look at the transcript it looks like I got a compliment from @Aravona. If so, I thank you! If not-ooops! It also looks like I may have done something that upset @ab2. If that's true, I'd appreciate details but am sorry of course.

@Sue The point of mentioning the particular user is that it means that other people see it and eventually something may actually be done about it. Otherwise if you just flag it, it disappears and then people wonder why other users don't like that particular user
and then that user plays the victim
If suspensions were going to change behavior, one of the 4 so far this year might have done something

@CharlieBrumbaugh I strongly disagree with that sentiment. The something that needs to be done, if it needs to be done, needs to be done by a moderator. Trying to get other users to team up on someone definitely violates the be nice policy. If it is a concrete action that one or more users do, bring it up here or in meta. If it is some sort of diffuse behavior by a user, ask a mod for a private chat room. Hash it out and let the mods decide on the punishment.
If you don't like the punishment, then, I would say you can ask about the user on meta.

@Sue You didn't do anything that upset me. Unless you are responsible for flagging every comment on every question and answer on TGO from the beginning of time!

11:29 PM
@StrongBad Sometimes it feels like I am the only person to notice and so I really don’t feel like flagging if it’s just going to get the content deleted and then nothing done afterwards
I have gotten one answer that started,
>Uh, a fuel container. Just Google.
and another
>You have got to be kidding
In both cases the mods choose to edit and nothing happened
That type of stuff makes me not want to participate and thats not counting the revenge downvotes I have gotten from "that" user
There are multiple meta posts where somebody decided to go after my edits or self answers or tagging or subjects I am interested in or how I quoted sources so it really doesn't seem fair to say that I can't point out when one user is bugging me
