@RoryAlsop, I noticed you were at Security a half an hour ago (stalking is so much fun!!) so I thought I'd drop you a question. It's not a biggie, just looking for advice about the new Hiking near Boston question, outdoors.stackexchange.com/questions/17406/…... OP is new here but has been at SO for five years. Should I try to get more details, or is the type of question off-topic anyway (too broad/opinion based)?

Obviously, it's way too broad as it is, but I don't want to "tease" OP by getting more details only to have him be told that these questions aren't really on-topic.

I've been searching similar questions and the closures are consistently inconsistent! I say that with love because we're all trying to improve the site as it grows.

I don't want to close anything that could be a viable question, but I don't want to encourage something we don't really feel comfortable with any more.

I definitely don't want anyone to think I'm on a closing spree!

My own questions would be just as vulnerable!

OP's link was to a forum about trails in the NH mountains, including the Loop he mentioned, so that would really be the first question to clarify. Anyway, I think Olin Lathrop is our resident expert on trails in this region, so maybe he'll answer it...
