If I'm in a emergency situation and I need to rappel down and the only "rope" I have is a military parachord. How can I make this situation as save as possible? Which knot or tool should I use to rappel down.

I want to dig it up, put down new fabric and reuse the existing river rock that is there. I don't want to reuse the existing weeds...
