This yields 1.w + w.1. What's the right way to make it yield the correct answer of 2w? I tried using TensorReduce with Assumptions -> w [Element] Vectors[3], for example.

We should use tag wiki's more, they seem like a nice way to compile FAQs. I took at stab at "interpolation" at mathematica.stackexchange.com/tags/interpolation/info
