@LukasLang thanks that definitely makes sense. How do you recommend I can accomplish these sorts of difference operations? If I use Subtract to take the difference, I need to ensure that it threads such that I get lists of results of what the first case would give me. It seems overly complex for what should be so simple :/

I gotta say, the new highlighter does make stuff somehow harder to read, being so used to the other coloring...
Also the lack of coloring for pattern symbols and all that, too

3:42 AM
Plus the fact that strings and comments are both gray, and the shade of gray is barely discernible for strings...

It could grow on me
lack of pattern and operator colouring is pretty major though

Now defined is blue and undefined is black. That definitely has to be changed to how it was.
Weren't the [ characters bolded previously?

@Szabolcs Ah, good point, I definitely agree with you there...

@TimStone Is it possible to fix the syntax highlighting colours so they would match what we had previously, and also match Mathematica's default?

For everyone again: We already have a PR on the highlight.js repo to improve the highlighter for Mathematica.

@Szabolcs That'd be a question for SE, but I think if they decline (hopefully not) we could at least make a user style that people could use without too much trouble? But hopefully they will just fix it
@halirutan Nice!

Sorry, I haven't been reading the chatroom recently. I pinned your message.

@Szabolcs Yep, that's why I mentioned it. Right now, the highlighter doesn't even recognize Mathematica numbers.
And of course, we lost all highlighting for patterns, slots, In/Out, etc..

The highlighter in its current form is not enough, for sure. I'm following the PR with great interest.

I assume that the blue/black is controlled by an SE-specific stylesheet, not by highlight.js. I am wondering if it is possible to fix that on SE.

@Szabolcs IIRC, we always were an exception even with the CSS. I vaguely remember that we specifically fixed the colors for our highlighting years ago..
