@CATrevillian The precedence of /@ is higher than that of ^, so you need parentheses in your second example. The third one doesn't work because the threading done by Subtract threads over the outer two levels of the lists, not the inner two

Is there a quick way to convert from a number of standard deviations from the mean to a probability? Like I can remember that for 1, 2, and 3 standard deviations from the mean you get 68%, 95%, and 99.7% of data, but how can I calculate that for a strange number of standard deviations like 2.7 or whatever
