I thought it was strange that the function was stamped "Experimental" in the docs. I haven't seen that before but have not rigorously checked all new functions. Are there others like this? Previously experimental functions were found in the experimental add on
One can use `EntityProperty["WolframLanguageSymbol", "URL"] /@ EntityList[EntityClass["WolframLanguageSymbol", "UnderDevelopment"]]` to get a list of links to the documentation for all 25 functions.

Although it is nice having our own site I have a feeling if all the rep here was taken to stackoverflow someone might qualify and make it this far for diamond moderator. As a side note I did a quick search & non of the current members have used the mathematica tag or posted a question or answer mathematiac.se.
Hi, I'm looking for a scanned text image optimizer. Not for a better OCR (that is also needed... but that will arrive one day), but for the image pre-processing:
-> binarize (and alternatively, for reading the original media instead of the OCR text, a smart reduction of levels, like a Local ColorQuantize);
-> un-warp;
-> un-skew;
-> un-wrinkle;
-> etc.
Any ideas of existing tools?
Can a request for such function be posted as a question? It's more of a development, but what do you think?
There are a lot of articles on such algorithms. For instance, I just came across this one: cennser.org/IJCVSP/finalPaper/030101.pdf. But I image that there are a lot of existing libraries that could eventually be called from Mathematica, for some of the tasks.
