I don't know how interesting this will be for others (Dr. B voted to close the question :-P ) but I had fun working on this one: mathematica.stackexchange.com/a/110383/9490

Is there an easy way to make plots (with gridlines) which have gone through some atypical projection? I have a dataset which shows itself best under quite an elaborate projection, and understanding the effect of the projection would really require those gridlines...

@kirma Maybe you can use ParametricPlot[]?

@J.M. Well, to an extent. But what I would really want to do is to define forward/backward coordinate projection options to a plot function and let it magically solve the problem. :]

And the same in rather strangely projected form:
What are those streaks? It's once again a plot of prime abundances (in comparison to expectation) for polynomial n^2+n+x, x on x axis, n observed for first 20000 values of every such polynomial.

Well, wrote a comment on Wolfram Community on it. Doesn't fit in Mma.SE as a question and I have stagefright of math.SE.
