I've changed my sash window question so that it is framed differently. I take your point about the question as originally asked, but at the same time I simply don't think that I'm going to get a worthwhile answer from anyone but a woodworker. Please (mods) take another look.

Okay, everyone...what have you done to-date to promote the site, and what are you going to do today?
Ideas for promoting the site here: meta.woodworking.stackexchange.com/questions/129/…
So far I've posted on LumberJocks, the woodworking subreddit, social media, and sent a tip to the WoodTalk and FWW Shop Talk Life podcasts. Today I'll post again to social media sites and @ a few of the well-known podcasters/YouTubers. Potatoes love woodworking, right?

@Matt it's usually good to add tags, but personally I wouldn't add one that changes the question as you did on woodworking.stackexchange.com/questions/849/…. Maybe it's worth discussing on meta.

@rob I only added it since the OP mentioned using poisons and gases which could be a safety concern if the answer does not touch on that subject. I suppose though you could add safety to any question then. That and the focus of the question is not the fumigation itself. You are right... probably best to remove it. I don't think it changes the question though.

@Matt I think it does subtly change the question it suggests that he is concerned about safety when he is not (he just wants to kill the bugs and their eggs), and by adding the tag you were asserting your own safety-consciousness upon him and anyone else who answers his question. For example, following the same logic you could add the safety tag to any question that talks about something with sharp edges because you could cut yourself.
Anyway, that's just my interpretation of this example, and it may still be worth opening a meta question.

I also came to that conclusion. You are right. I was imposing my safety belief on him. Removing it for now. I will make the question anyway in case im wrong.
