Q: How can contractors recoup taxation-related expenses?

mosodaI am doing consultant as my job side job. I am wondering if I should put tax in my invoice on top of my charges. This is the current state of the negotiation regarding taxes: You will not be eligible for any employee benefits, nor will the Company make deductions from payments made to you ...

do you guys want this question? it seems a lot more on topic here
@mhoran_psprep ? you want it? you happened to JUST log in here :)

I answered it on the other site. I thought about it applying here when I was writing the answer, but I think it makes sense on workplace because it deals with setting rates for contracting.

it seems more a quesiton about how the financial side works though
(regarding tax on invoices/etc)

They didn't charge the company enough money and now wanted to get the company to pay for a unforeseen expense. We don't know what else they missed.

@enderland We'll take it. I flagged it for migration. Thanks for the heads up.
@mhoran_psprep I flagged it for migration to Money because they closed it at Workplace.

@ChrisW.Rea it does have 3 reopen votes on it

@enderland OIC. I'm lacking the rep at Workplace to see that :) Well, the mods there can decide either way.
