I'm looking for some help digging up a blog post I read something like 8-10 years ago. The author described ~8 language features (dynamic dispatch, class-based inheritance, etc) that might be considered necessary for Object Oriented Languages. He went on to explain that each language's advocates claimed that their language's subset of these features was the One True Definition, and the mismatches led to great confusion.
