@WorldEngineer - I've never played WoW but someone I knew would talk to me about it and the amount of drama really was insane. The weirdest thing was it didn't seem like almost anyone was actually having fun. I read some article about how several features (such as the constant drop percentages) were chosen intentionally to be addictive, so perhaps that explains why they continued playing.

user20683
@psr I enjoyed a lot of it

user20683
but I was a fan of the Warcraft universe

user20683
so for me seeing how the story played out was a good thing

user20683
and I liked the people I guilded with most of the time

user20683
EVE was a different set

I've been in real street fights

user20683
EVE was the only game that ever came close to that

user20683
getting jumped in 0.0 with no back-up and just hoping that you can jump out before that blip gets within scrambler range

user20683
also the only game where I actually did trig in order to do more damage

@WorldEngineer Legacy question?
If you mean "not constructive old question that somehow managed to escape" I'd appreciate your close vote in there as well... Although I don't mind if you vote to close and flag, only flagging for closure when you have the rep to vote to close is like saying "I want this closed, but I don't want it's blood on my hands"... ;P

@YannisRizos I tried to close vote, it said I had but I didn't see it on there.

@WorldEngineer Oh... That probably means that you voted to close a while ago and your close vote expired... Hate it when that happens :) btw feel free to flag anything, my previous comment wasn't really meant to be serious...

@YannisRizos Turns out there's a professor at my school whose academic lineage traces back to 1380 in Mystras

user20683
to a teacher who educated one of the Palaiologos family.

3:58 AM
@WorldEngineer 1380? That's impressive... I've managed to get as far as 1800... no relation to royalty though ;)

user20683
@YannisRizos the instructor is chinese

user20683
this is tracing back her advisors

user20683
I can trace my own personal lineage to at least 1631

user20683
when Thomas Goldthwaite shows up in Massachusetts

Oh yes you did write academic lineage... 1631? That's even more impressive... Quick web search get's you a bit earlier: whitneyhistory.org/getperson.php?personID=I3694&tree=ID01

user20683

Hi

8:02 PM
Hello

8:24 PM
@AnnaLear Hi. I need help with my profile.
This id of mine is made with my google account. But I am closing my google account and I want to keep this profile. If I close my google account will I be able to use my profile here or would I have to make a new one?

8:59 PM
I need help with this quickly.
will it do on all the related websites?

@ACube First create the new account with another provider...
I'm checking to see what the easier way will be...

ok wait

@ACube go to your profile and click the "logins" link to add another identity provider (such as the SE one, facebook, yahoo, MyOpenID).

Yes, I am doing it! Wait please.
Question: What provider do you want me to singup with? I am creating a new stack-exchanged account!
@YannisRizos Hello!
ok I did it!
Now what should I do?

9:20 PM
Did you go through your profile as I wrote above?
or did you logout and create a new account?

I created a new stackexchange id. It sent an email for verification. I verified, It automatically merged my profiles.
Now I want my gmail account to be removed from my id!
Is this it?
Let me log out and log in again to be sure first!

@ACube Yes, login with your new account first... visit the other sites you have accounts on so the new provider will be associated

ok, I logged in with my new id!
Thanks buddy!
What about my old email?
@YannisRizos Thanks again for the help!

@ACube Use the new provider for a couple of days to make sure everything works smoothly. It should, but just to be safe... Then post a Meta question here asking for your gmail account to be disassociated from your account...

Ok. That is good advice.

9:33 PM
glad I could help...

Thanks
