Hi @amWhy! Last night I pretty much accidentally clicked my bookmark leading here. Sorry to miss you then :-(

D - not just an off-topic post. Read the shocking comments !

Hello, my first post here, hopefully the correct place to put this. I think that this answer is incorrect. It claims something for which I have provided a counterexample. (In OP's defence, there's an obvious proof which seems to work on first glance but it actually doesn't and it took my some time to come up with a counterexample.)

@AryamanMaithani CURED is the best place to ask this question, but this question isn't the best kind to be placed on CURED (I hope you see the difference!) Like, we're usually used to putting quite undebatably terrible stuff here and swatting it away , so this one requires a little more thinking. It's definitely wrong, the point being that the division $|$ is to be considered within the subgroup and not outside the group.
@Peter This is gone, and I wanted to leave some insults for the user but thought otherwise. Shocking post.

@jasmine It has been closed, but you may have seen that.
@JyrkiLahtonen No worries! Be good :-)

PSQ with an answer.

@JoséCarlosSantos I've seen a lot of those, from many answerers, too. Even ones who vote to close only PSQs answer by other users.

Please close. Two upvotes given, at least one by a user suggesting we "mind read" to guess what the OP means.

@amWhy Seems your comment was removed and the link stays. Great :(
Editing is unfortunately pointless since the question is surely rolled back.

@Peter My comments are still there. You linked to my last close request. Are you referring to another post I left?
@Peter, what post are you referring to?? I have no clue what you mean.

The reopened post with the femininism link

5:19 PM
@Peter Then link to it, and not a post I read up and down after your comment. Peter, this room is its own community, and all of us can't read your mind, when you speak to us like we even have a clue what the heck you are referring to. You vent when your requests fail, but your silent when we work as a group to meet your requests. And your comments seem to come attached with inuendos. You are not the only user who contributes here. Please stop acting like you are at times.

@amWhy I do not understand your reaction. I am just annoyed that this link does not vanish and even more that a suggestion to reomove it was apparently removed. I do not see how this can be considered as an attack to you and/or the other users in this room.

@Peter I did not say you are attacking me. But the only time I hear from you is when your upset about something. I and others may have acted on six requests of yours, but if one of them stalls, or fails, you fail to pay attention to the successes, and complain about the one we lost. First your comment to me linked to a post I made here with a request. That left me clue less. then you the "reopened post with the feminism link" I had to scroll into yesterdays transcript to know what you
were referring to. I am not personally offended; but please do not take for granted that we know what you mean when you fail to link, or link incorrectly.... Anyway, you, and we, do a lot of good work here, and I appreciate everyone's contributions. So I'm sorry if you feel lectured, I'm not trying to do that. Mainly, I was providing feedback about some of my thoughts. That's all. And I'm sure we each get annoyed once in a while with each other (annoyed is too strong a word though).
^^^ I meant "we all may get a tad annoyed", that's all. But Cheers.

5:47 PM
@amWhy OK, let us forget it. I am not a friend of much words, but I certainly notice the great job, you , MartinR , Teresa , Jose and others do and of course I see that many bad posts are removed because of the help of all. You are right that we cannot always "win".

Hi, @MartinR ! And @RRL, too

RRL
Hi @amWhy

@MartinR I checked the pinned and starred post to the right earlier and just now. Still deleted, still with 2 undelete votes.
@RRL How's it going?

RRL
Good -- I see a surge in low quality questions again

@RRL Yup. Seems to worsen from mid-semester through end-of-semester. Fall and Spring.
And a lot of lower rep users are trying to "gain rep" by answering them, while many of the former Fastest Guns in The West, have been suspended off and on.
Hi, @AryamanMaithani!

oh, hello!

@RRL DF is now deleted. The other seven need only one more delete vote each.
:59384389 Yes, thank you! I was able to edit it in time, thanks to you. Chat room edits are relatively short!

:D (deleted earlier messages since no longer needed)

@AryamanMaithani Thanks again!

anytime!

@ArcticChar @amWhy Hi. Why is it that when you got this answer in the Low Quality Posts review queue, your option was “Looks OK”? It doesn't answer the question! The question is about whether or not two topological spaces are homeomorphic, and what this answer says is that a certain map between them is not a homeomorphism.

9:04 PM
@JoséCarlosSantos Is CURED now appropriate grounds to call out users for their behavior on site? You first: answer my earlier question. I'll start keeping track of the audits you fail on, too, you know why.
@JoséCarlosSantos It is okay if you'd like to request deletion of the answer. That might get you further than grilling others when you either flag when grilled, or ignore it.
Mind you, you have a right to matters of opinion wrt the review queues. But so do I, and so does @ArcticChar, and you've clearly demonstrated you've already made up your mind, so your question is not sincere. It was a prelude to being able to judge.

@amWhy Since CURED is, among other things, about deletions, yes, it's appropriate. I don't know which earlier question you have in mind. Finally, no, I do not know why.

9:19 PM
As I said, you are free, @JoséCarlosSantos, to make a request for deletion in this room. That's now what you did. I'm not holding you back. As the asker of the question, you may have had expectations you didn't make clear. We often deal with angry askers on this site, who fault others for trying to help.

@amWhy I don't think that one needs to have high expectations to think that an answer of the type “this map is not a homeomorphism” doesn't answer a question of the type “are these two spaces homeomorphic?”

@JoséCarlosSantos Hey, please chill. I am tired of you being angry only about what affects you. That was what your rant here was about. But you regularly doing what angers some of us. So we are hardly even... we've dealt with such frustration time and again. But I'll call it even if you abide by what you've, on record, against others,
I messed that ending... Please realize that seem not to realize some of the blows of frustration you inflict on others. That is not what happened today. I had no clue you asked the question, whose answer I reviewed. But you are clearly calculated in every thing you do on this site. But I am sorry, and I will correct my handling of that answer now. I just which you'd take seriously others concerns about your actions, too.
@JoséCarlosSantos One more delete vote needed. If you had posted only: "Please delete [this]. @userx, @usery,
please consider reviewing the linked answer again. It might be easier to see the question that was asked. I'd appreciate it."
Enough said. Cheers :-)
This answer needs to be deleted, too. I've downvoted it, (it had one upvote). Another downvote will facilitate deletion.

9:48 PM
@amWhy I have downvoted it. (I don't have deletion privileges.)

@AryamanMaithani Appreciated! One cannot vote to delete even the worst of answers, until there is a negative vote count, or occasionally, via review.

Yes, I was aware that a negative vote count is needed, based on comments I've seen. However, even for a question with a negative vote count, I do not see an option to delete it. (I think that that is activated at ≥ 20k rep?)

@AryamanMaithani Indeed. You can check it here.

@AryamanMaithani Yes; I was just expressing that your downvote was tremendously helpful; it allows those who can delete, to delete.
Thanks for the link, @JoséCarlosSantos. I just checked and saw the author of the answer I linked to self-deleted their non-answer! Thanks to all.

Thanks, @JoséCarlosSantos. That link is actually helpful because I was confused since I've sometimes seen a "Delete" button. I now realise that I must've seen that for questions (for which I only need ≥ 10k rep, interestingly).

9:59 PM
@JoséCarlosSantos I see that pseudo answer has also been deleted.
@AryamanMaithani Yes. And even with questions, at 10K to 20K, questions can only be deleted three days after their closure. When >= 20K, deletions on questions can happen when the score is <= 3.

@amWhy Indeed. The error was not exactly a subtle one.

@JoséCarlosSantos Can we move past this? I voted to delete that answer, when I saw both the question and the answer. When you admit making a mistake (by answering a PSQ, I point out, e.g.), you often reverse course, acknowledge it, and to me, all is good. Please learn to reciprocate that?

@amWhy I am past this. I expressed the wish that that answer got deleted and you did vote to delete it. There's no intention from me to discuss this matter again. Cheers!

@JoséCarlosSantos All good. Cheers to you, as well. :-)

10:26 PM
delete: this answer has completely misinterpreted the problem multiple times.

@KReiser Indeed. One more delete vote needed.

11:13 PM
@JoséCarlosSantos hello, yeah that one was boarderline case. I thought a bit and deem that the op was trying (but failed completely) to give an answer. Since it is new, i decided to just downvote it (nice question from you btw)
