Looking for input: math.stackexchange.com/questions/4000501/upper-bound-for-vi seems rather close to a few other questions - one suggested in the comments, and one user copy/pasted an answer from a different question. Should this be closed as a duplicate of the linked question (or the question from whence the repeated answer came)? I'm unsure, and I could see any of the responses as appropriate.
@amWhy This answer was auto-flagged for surviving a controversial review. It reads like word salad to me, but you voted to keep it. Since I trust your judgement, what am I missing?
@XanderHenderson I was iffy on that one, would have voted to delete it, but I've been trying not to be too harsh. (Plus the Reopen Queue has the worst audit reviews of all audit reviews!). I am completely fine with it being deleted. That's not an excuse, but there are too many PSQs they expect users to "reopen", I think the audits are more damaging than not having them.)
@XanderHenderson It has a bounty on it, so I could not vote to close as a dupe. It is likely the OP of the post just placed the bounty on it to circumvent its closure. :(
It's a handy safeguard. There have been past questions, heavily downvoted, where the OP issues a meager bounty, tying everyone's hands. Granted, I understand that they are likely not revoked often. I asked in part because it was my understanding a user cannot revoke a bounty, once the institute it, but perhaps there is a "grace period" allotted during which they can?
