I don't know the culture of Physics SE very well, or what they consider to be homework. Does anyone know how this question would likely be received if migrated? Is it worth migrating, or should it just be closed?

@XanderHenderson I do know that Physics SE has a very strict "no homework" policy, but I don't know what they construe as homework. I'd be reluctant to migrate, unless consulting first with Physics SE mods. It may do more harm for the OP than good.

Oops, too late to edit, @Xander my comment immediately above. At first I thought you were referring to the now deleted meta post about physics.se. Forget my last two sentences immediately above.
