I pointed out a possible duplicate here but that did not prevent two more answers from the same person who had answered the older question.

Q: Pre-requisite for Deformation of Algebras

Additi.PI want to write an essay on Algebraic deformation theory and I was wondering what are the pre-requisites that I should be well versed before reading papers on this? I know basics of group theory and ring theory, commutative algebra, lie algebra, associative algebra, geometric group theory, galois ...

I've never seen this before: https://math.stackexchange.com/questions/3887726/prove-that-certain-operation-is-commutative?noredirect=1

The timestamps say I closed the question as a dupe 5 seconds before the answer's timestamp :) I tried page refreshing, and the time difference remains. Can't say it's a big deal but it's a little weird.

@rschwieb If a user starts to write to write an answer before the closure, they are allowed to post it under certain conditions. For more details :

A: How was this answer posted after this question was closed?

Tim StoneIf a question is closed while you're answering on the full version of the site, you will receive a notification that the question was closed and the 'Post Your Answer' button will be disabled. However, this is only a client-side restriction, so it is possible in some cases that this process fails...

@RRL after voting on your suggested deletions, and seeing the recurrent suspects answering such low quality questions, I think we should create a list of the ten most wanted abusers who answer, repeatedly, PSQ's!

9:03 PM
^^^Of course that would be frowned upon if we were to post it, but it's useful to think about, anyway.

@amWhy: The most egregious low quality posts with analysis, calculus, sequences-and-series, limits, integration, and related tags appear to be consistently answered by a small group of high-rep users. The odds are highly in favor of the same individuals appearing in these close/delete posts when selected at random.

@RRL Indeed. But there is one particular egregious answerer of very low quality inequality questions, as well ;D

@amWhy Putting on my diamond hat for just a moment, please don't do this.

@XanderHenderson what am i not to do ? Oh I see. It was just dark humor. I wouldn't literally do that.

@amWhy I know you wouldn't, but not every who reads this channel knows that.
On a related note, we were in a meeting earlier this week, and the faculty association president told everyone that we were going to have a monster truck rally as a fund raiser. One of the admins immediately cut in "You are joking, right? Because I don't know how we would handle the liability on that one!"

@XanderHenderson Feel free to delete the comment. It's too late for me to do so. I don't have super duper diamond powers! ;D
@XanderHenderson Hah! ;D

No, it's fine. Humor is good.
