@KReiser This is a very nice explanation. Thank you for adding that to my life.
As an aside, I have an ambition to write an expository paper, tentatively called "All the F*****g Dimensions", which discusses all of the ways in which the term "dimension" gets used in mathematics. But I'm a metric spaces kind of guy, so all the notions I like are kind of Hausdorff-y.

@ArcticChar That question was a closed as a duplicate, yes, but the target was wrong. I have aleready closed it again, but this time with a correct target.

Ugh... I hate getting a good question on the Close review queue, thinking "Oh, that question is not terrible! Of course I'm going to vote to leave it open!", just to be told "Congratulations! You passed an audit!"
On the other hand, maybe the fact that 99% of the good questions in that queue are audits is indicative of the fact that the system is working as it should.
i.e. folk are generally not voting to close good questions.

Micheal reopened the duplicate here. I am even tempted to just copy his answer to post it in the duplicate target (as CW). Any opinion?

@XanderHenderson I get the "on the other hand," but I'm frustrated that audits limit the impact a user (non-mod) can have on reducing the number of votes one can cast on questions in need of closure in a review queue
