I don't see what's so wrong with Martin's billiard ball question.
It is an interesting question and as researched as I would expect for someone a natural question about a field they are unfamiliar with and trying to get a window on.
Personally I find the comment quoted above from user752802 to be out of proportion to the situation.
If ever there is a risk of confusion I am talking about the credibility of the (deleted) account that had written the quoted comment, obviously not user21820.
