@Mason that one should wait a while, say, at least a week, and not cross post right away/too soon.

@Mason The idea behind delaying is that it is helpful not to duplicate work, so if you post in two places at once you may get people doing more total work than is needed. However, if you don't get a response after a week or so on Math SE, it's not likely that you will get one soon after, so posting it on the other site would be a good idea. Ideally, you would also put a link from each one to the other after cross-posting.

Which question is actually being discussed here. Isn't it the question which already has been crossposted? I mean this one: Constructing an infinite chain of subfields of 'hyper' algebraic numbers? As usually, I will point out that this would be probably a better fit for Math Meta Chat. But I assume that occasional digression from the main topic of the room is not that bad. (Of course, if the discussion is likely to get much longer, it might be better to continue elsewhere.)
