@XanderHenderson I'm curious how many deletion votes it needs to delete a question with hundreds of upvotes…

10
I read somewhere that 10 is always the max.
3 is the min, 10 is the max.
Maybe I'll look for the link.

2 hours later…
5:12 AM
d1, d2, d3.
d4, d5, d6.

5:32 AM
d7, d8, d9.
@XanderHenderson @quid Can you lock it as kept for historical reasons but not suitable for the site? As per the comment: "[...] the OP was too lazy to type in the equation himself to any plotting program or calculator, which would have immediately shown that the equation is 'for real'. If the OP were asking for an explanation of how such an equation might be derived, as ShreevatsaR has done, that would be an appropriate question."
@amWhy Gone quiet now.

6:03 AM
@amWhy @XanderHenderson @Holo @RushabhMehta: Just one more vote and it can be deleted.

For closure: κ1, κ2

For deletion: δ1, δ2, δ3, δ4,
@user21820 Done.

@AlexFrancisco That's fast! Thanks!
Oh I see; you weren't saying they were closed yet. =)

@user21820 =˽=

@AlexFrancisco Anyway there's also the lot above, if you have votes to spare.

7:02 AM
@user21820 I've used up today's quota of deletion votes…

Oh okay!

Blatant PSQ with three up votes so far.

12:33 PM
A question mentioned previously (more than once) here in CRUDE was linked in the recent post on meta: Why was this question deleted after it had been “finished”? (This room has already been mentioned in comments. I'm just mentioning this here in case the discussion on meta is interesting for users of this room.)

12:53 PM
@AlexFrancisco Good thing you rolled it back.
@AlexFrancisco Also, this comment is hilarious. Although I didn't down-vote the answer.
The audacity to say that after answering a PSQ. That is hilarious.

1:21 PM
@paulplusx Same here.

@paulplusx I provided a comment to his comment.

1:46 PM
@JoséCarlosSantos Missed it :/ . I suppose you have deleted your comment.

@paulplusx Not me. Some moderator did it.

@paulplusx The comment he was replying to probably got flagged and deleted by a moderator who also deleted his now redundant comment.

Aah I see.

@user21820 That makes sense.

2:29 PM
PSQ with an instant hint within minutes. Guess who?

2:51 PM
Same with this. 3 answers!!
@paulplusx I tried explaining him politely but he thinks that everyone here is trying to take his freedom. I don't know why he does that, in fact he knows it very well that his answer has a higher chance of getting down-voted. Even if he his motivation is reputation points, it's fine but isn't he digging his own grave by answering PSQs and losing reputation?

@JoséCarlosSantos I'd be careful about criticizing a user you compete closely with for max votes rep each week/month.... It doesn't look good, and besides, seems I've had to comment to you, just as you commented to gimusi.

@paulplusx PSQ answerers know very well that they will get a positive net reputation from answering PSQs.

Here is another one. Dr. You know who.
@user21820 Even with a net positive virtual reputation, they don't seem to realize that their actual reputation goes negative.

4:02 PM
@user21820 All gone, unpinning.

@amWhy: Thanks!

@user21820 All of the series d1-d9 were deleted, so I unpinned 3 pinned posts*

@amWhy Yup sure. I've pinned two more from Alex that need attention. Unfortunately, I've run out of votes so can't help until the next day.

You're also not allowing earlier posts needing attention by filling the right column with requestions occurring within one ten hour span.

@amWhy Which ones did I miss?

4:25 PM
@user21820 No worries.
My view of the left column of pinned posts is limited, cause I often use my handy 11 inch diagonal notebook, unless I'm at the university in my office. So I'm limited to typically seeing only between 3-4 pinned posts, unless I zoom out until I can hardly read them.

Ah I see. Oops.

Folk may want to weigh in on this meta topic. CRUDE as been mentioned.

@XanderHenderson Yeah, it certainly doesn't yet represent (the question or comments) the whole story, but, as usual, finds a target to pin the blame on. How simplistic.

@XanderHenderson I honestly can't be bothered; this site has long been too out of line with its own guidelines and too few users follow them or care that it is on the edge of becoming another Yahoo Answers where some askers behave like everyone owes them a complete solution.

@XanderHenderson I wrote a comment; nothing earth shattering, but what I said has been avoided, up until then, what the real problem is/was.

5:10 PM
@amWhy You should write it as an answer for better visibility.

@amWhy I admit I am surprised that site quality was not brought up in all the prior comments; I thought surely someone would have. Sigh... it's certain that a vocal few will persist in insisting that poor questions with full answers should not be deleted, and that other users must spruce up in the wake of the asker.

6:03 PM
Two back to back PSQs here and here.

@amWhy Voted to close.
I mean flagged.
A 350+ user. Sigh.

@paulplusx Thanks!

6:56 PM
@amWhy Wow

7:11 PM
Here goes my rant. I am sleepy now.
I hope someone can point/correct my grammatical mistakes along with other mistakes.

7:25 PM
@amWhy Thanks for the edit :-).

@paulplusx There are a couple of other typos; maybe I'll catch them later. I didn't try to rewrite anything, though.

@amWhy I'll go over it once again before I log out. Thank you so much.
Speaking of the policies I think I have slipped here and answered this a few weeks back. If required I'll delete my answer. I am flagging the question as no-effort.

7:42 PM
@paulplusx Don't worry about an occasional slip, or a slip when you were early to this site. It happens: eagerness/interest in the problem, etc. The key thing is not to make such answers a habit, which I don't see you doing. :-)

@amWhy I'll do my best to maintain the quality of this site, now that I understand it properly :-)

8:00 PM
...Sand? (quicksand?) ... rhymes with: pick, sick, tick, ick ... I get it: Icky!
@MarkMcClure Seriously, I get it; it needs to go... have downvoted, voted to close, and flagged as low quality.

8:11 PM
@amWhy Yeah. I guess I stated my post as "Quick!" in hopes of closure prior to an answer.

@MarkMcClure One more vote need

8:50 PM
Seems pretty quiet, not much to vote on. I only have two to post: 1 2
I saw the meta question, but it seems like the same thing has been discussed before. Is there a kind of canonical one to link to?

1 hour later…
9:57 PM
@amWhy I had a little time, so I added a small fraction of a dollar.
Snark snark snark.
@CarlMummert There is a comment on 2 that is somewhat entertaining.

Lol @XanderHenderson Why did you delete your message?

It was overly snarky.

10:13 PM
@XanderHenderson I see, but I agree with your original message

@XanderHenderson Thanks for posting!! Very well said.

[ SmokeDetector | MS ] Few unique characters in body, no whitespace in body, no whitespace in title, repeating characters in body, repeating characters in title (404): grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ✏️ by Lucia on math.SE

@SmokeDetector Good bot
@SmokeDetector @amWhy It seems like this was actual question that got edit to this, but it got deleted before I saw it, can you look into the original question/who the editor was?

Bernard did the editing earlier, @Holo It seems the user (now deleted) I can't know. The user/asker twice tried to delete the question they asked. First time Bernard rolled back to the original question, corrected title; second time (post deleted/asker deleted), I rolled back to the original/Bernard's edit.
@Holo Can you see this?

@amWhy Nope

@Holo Just trying to show you the source/question. sorry.

@amWhy Thanks for letting me know!
@amWhy No need to be sorry :) thanks for trying
