In case somebody has something to add, I'll mention that there is a discussion related to crude in Math Meta Chat. See here: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/64952/2018/5/1 Basically the discussion started as a reaction to this: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/64952/2018/4/30

6:23 AM
I will add one additional question to this: Do you think that posting a question on meta specifically about CRUDE could be useful? I mean something along these lines: How can the workings of CRUDE be improved to make it more efficient in its goals? What should be on-topic/off-topic in the room?
It seems that several discussions about CRUDE can be found in various chatrooms, in some meta posts and comments on meta. So a question with a clear focus on this room would be a better option that having many related discussion in various places.
OTOH I am afraid that such question could quickly morph into something where many reactions would be: "Oh, I did not know this room exist. That room is really awful."
Some posts on meta mentioning crude can be found if you search for url:"2165" or simply for crude or "c.r.u.d.e". Not much mentioning the original name "jury duty" is there. Maybe there are a few other name changes I do not remember.
I am not sure how these SEDE queries could be improved to eliminate false positives, but here are the queries to search for comments containing 2165 and crude.
And probably searching on meta will return more relevant results: 2165, crude.
Maybe somebody who know more about SQL can suggest how to improve these queries and whether it is possible to search for an exact phrase. (For example, if I want to find comments containing "jury duty" or "c.r.u.d.e".)

@AloizioMacedo: You are the one making a false dichotomy. Never did I say that we can always classify in a binary deterministic fashion. Some people are obviously quacks, and others are clearly not, and some others or not so clear-cut. And you falsely imply that I attempt to justify claims that a duck is a duck by relying on it being a duck. It is ridiculous to force everyone to justify every single statement they make, so you cannot rationally expect justification for everything. And if anyone wants my justification, they can easily request. — user21820 10 mins ago

@MikePierce According to the current consensus (which personally I don't agree with), we should wait a while before deleting for new users. The problems with this consensus are numerous, such as many offenders simply creating new accounts to post PSQs, and rep-farmers who give full answers and also frequently try to re-open PSQs! But I will wait 24 hours and no more.
But I've pinned it so that we don't forget.

after reopening now requested for deletion again also after editing math.stackexchange.com/q/2747593/505767

@gimusi What, exactly, are you asking for? The question on meta is open, and the question that you have linked to on the main site is also open (and therefore ineligible for deletion, even if I were inclined to feel that it should be deleted). What action do you expect people here to take?

@XanderHenderson the question on Meta was just reopened now
@XanderHenderson for the other one I'm inviting to keep it monitored and to vote for reopen in case it was deleted also after editing

The question on main has been open for more than a week, and was never in any danger of being deleted. So, again, what action do you expect people to take?

@XanderHenderson I think that the meta question was closed at the time when the message in chat was posted: revisions/timeline‌.

@XanderHenderson I was suspended for 7 days and then I didn't follow all the steps. I thought it was deleted and reopened yesterday. Anyway I want to invite to keep it monitored in case it was deleted. The required action is of course: do not delete!

2:06 PM
And maybe in the second message @gimusi wanted to link to the answer rather than to the question?

@MartinSleziak Yes Martin exactly what I just explained to @Xander, that means that CRUDE effectively works!

I mean, gimusi linked to this question: Can you take the derivative of a function at infinity? And they probably wanted to link to their own answer to that question.

@MartinSleziak Yes exactly Martin, you are right in this second case too, sorry for the confusion.

@MartinSleziak I see. It must have been reopened just after gimusi mentioned it here, as it was open by the time I saw their message (which was only a few minutes after the message was posted here)
And the link to the question when the answer was intended was confusing :\

@XanderHenderson This was deleted earlier, so I unpinned it. I think you meant the question, right?. In any case, it is now deleted.

@amWhy I linked to the question, didn't I? In any event, it hadn't been deleted when I mentioned it here (and I didn't pin it), but good riddance?

@XanderHenderson yup, good riddance. I've done that a lot. Getting to a question somehow, scrolling down, ending up with the URL for an answer. anyway, the question is gone, as it deserved to be, and I think user21820 may have pinned it (he's the pinner around here!) You can see it by reverse navigation from the post I responded to above.

ah
Well then, life is good.
This question (to which I provided a great downvoted but accepted answer, by the way) should probably be deleted

8:20 PM
This old question was ultimately marked as a duplicate, but should probably be deleted. (of course, I'm just as happy to leave it open, as it is to my benefit)
Going through my early answers, I am not unhappy with most of the questions that I chose to answer. Yay!

8:45 PM
@XanderHenderson That's great!
@XanderHenderson Another option is just to make the question a bit better? I wouldn't worry about it too much.
