When the question that was closed as a dupe has others closed as dupes...

@SimplyBeautifulArt You can also review the pinned ones.

I do feel a tad unfortunate an answerer put in quite a bit of effort it seems.
@user21820 Page not found?

@SimplyBeautifulArt This discussion has been had many times before. One view is that good answers do not improve the question, and by allowing such questions to stay we are effectively affirming that bad questions are allowed, and that one is encouraged to post answers to bad questions because they will be upvoted despite the question, and more such good answers would imply more bad questions. (Historically true.) The other view is that we should keep good answers even if site quality goes down.
@SimplyBeautifulArt Seems like a deleted user.

This low-quality question is a duplicate of this much better question. The first question has a very nice answer that is perfect for the second question (which has no answer, and therefore cannot be the target of a duplication)---is there a way to merge the two?

@XanderHenderson So the answer is suitable for the other question without any changes?

You can suggest the answered to answer the other question.

As usually, you can find some basic info about merging in the tag-info.
Although I would expect an experienced user like you to know at least some basic stuff concerning merging.
BTW merging of questions was quite often discussed in this room: chat.stackexchange.com/search?q=merging&room=2165 chat.stackexchange.com/search?q=merge&room=2165

@MartinSleziak Thanks for the links.

@Did @amWhy @ZacharySelk @SimplyBeautifulArt: PSQ.

@user21820 one more delete vote needed.

Okay, the question linked above, and now here should probably be closed and deleted (or marked as a duplicate). The nice answer has been copied to the older question.

6:07 PM
@XanderHenderson To achieve this you should flag the question and ask moderators to merge. (Maybe you already did?)
Of course, if you want to wait first to see whether you get some feedback on this suggestion from other users of this room, that is perfectly fine.

One more delete vote needed on this PSQ: Please provide detailed solution

Seeing that 2620841: Graph of Cantor function is rectifiable already has two delete votes, I have flagged it myself instead of waiting.
Oh, now I see that the answer has been already copied to the new question as per your suggestion.
> @DavidBowman Can I suggest that you copy-pasta your answer here into this question? The current question is of rather low quality and is likely to be deleted, but I think that your answer here exactly addresses the question to which I just linked. – Xander Henderson 50 mins ago
So I have retracted my flag. I'm making a mess :-(
I should have read XH's message this more carefully. Still, before the answer was copied, merging seemed like a reasonable option.

Is there like an auto-link to the community moderator when particular words are detected by Smokey? Cuz that happened quick (wrt the linked answer Smokey includes immediately above)!

@amWhy No, I just happened to see Smokey's message rather quickly.

@DanielFischer I'm impressed! :)
