@MartinSleziak Are you and MartinR pretty much the only folks frequenting this room? (aside from the bot SmokeDetector)?
I think a handful of us have been more active on CRUDE sorts of concerns than is this site. I think SmokeDetector is invaluable. But this seems more a site that simply reports statuses of questions/answer, and not so much suggesting candidates for closure, deletion, reopening, undeleting, editing, etc. Are you welcome to me and other users participating?

@amWhy No, we are certainly not the only ones.
If you look at room info, Daniel Fischer posted 250 messages here.
Many other users used to be active here.
@amWhy I am pretty sure that activity related to room purpose will be useful.
I have noticed that you occasionally call for close votes in chat, although not here.
Perhaps there is a chance that if more users come here, the activity attracts a few other users.
As you can see in the past, some users were not very satisfied with how this room works. But maybe it is worth giving it a try.

I don't expect this room to work anyway, but I guess we'll see. =)

@MartinSleziak Yes, I spoke with another user that is interested in CRUDE related activities, about frequenting this chat too.

You mean this?

@user21820 I think we've been doing great, myself. I left a comment at the CRUDE, just noting that it seems only two users that maintain it, rather conservatively.

@MartinSleziak Actually, that's the user I spoke with today about frequenting this chatroom.

I think I recall you talking without Simply about some closures, too.
I would not say that I maintain the room.
I simply use it.
If you browse a bit through past messages, you can see that when I post here, it's mostly about duplicates and/or merging.
But maybe if you post here, some habitual close voters might notice your messages - to use the terminology I learned recently.

@MartinSleziak Fair enough. I think I would prefer to discuss closures/deletion in a setting like this, where there could be balanced rational alternatives, or different perspectives on such actions, and vice versa.

Well, if you look at room description, that's for c and d stand for. So it is among purposes this room was intended for.

BTW maybe you noticed that the comment saying "I don't expect this room to work anyway" is the same user you talked in the main chatroom with.

@amWhy I've tried there quite a few times in the past. It never worked.

@amWhy The problem is that the people who are actually active in the 'chores' are not frequently there and even when they are they don't seem to wish to act on the posts mentioned there.
Maybe my recent suggestion on meta could help to make this room better known: Would list of chat rooms (and chat room suggestions) be useful? (And maybe not.)

@MartinSleziak Yes...very good idea, at that!

@user21820 But new faces can change things: We can suggest closures and deletions, why we vote as such..... We can also counter faulty requests for reopening/ undeleting, talk it out, etc. The dynamics there will change with more participation there. I'm just suggesting that it is a valid location to include when we think posts should be closed, deleted, discuss duplicates, and keep attuned what reasons others may have for actions they encourage.

4:21 PM
@MartinSleziak Of course. I can try again.

@user21820, @MartinSleziak You know how much a sacrifice it's going to be to keep up with this chat: I means I'll have to add the tab to my browser! :P

This answer needs one more delete vote. Also, there are 4 answers to this question, 3 of which are obviously junk.
@amWhy If things don't move here, I won't waste time keeping up with this chat.

@user21820 Already took action on the first link; on the second link, I see only three answers, and there is no deleted answer there.

@amWhy Right. I counted wrongly. There are 2 junk answers there.

1 hour later…
If either of you does not want to be room owner, feel free to remove yourself from the ownership. (In the case of quid and Daniel Fischer this is just a symbolic gesture anyway - mods automatically have all rights of room owners.)
