It seems that @JyrkiLahtonen started collecting post (and possible duplicates) about last digit, computations modulo, etc in this answer to the duplicate thread.
I'll just mention that looking at questions tagged elementary-number-theory+decimal-expansion or modular-arithmetic+decimal-expansion you can find lots of similar questions.
I am aware that this ping will not reach @Jyrki since he did not post here during the last 2 days. Does ping work in chat with no autocompletion?
I am just posting this here on the off-chance that he peeks into this room occasionally.
