I've brought up this tagging question in main chatroom: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/3168261#3168261
No relevant opinions there so far, apart from comment whether there is really a difference between and the proposed tag .
If there is some more discussions about these tags in main chatroom, I (or someone) will post an update here,
Here's the text I've posted at main chatroom.
Do you think introducing tag would be a good idea?
Some examples of questions at MSE related to symmetric polynomials:

Or would it be better to use tags that already exist and tag them by both and ?
Update: After discussion with Srivatsan in main chatroom (and also judging by the above examples, I've created , it seems that it might be useful. I've added a few questions to this tag, so that the tag is not deleted automatically.

I find questions on base-$b$ expansions for $b \ne 10$. The tag doesn't apply to these questions. Can someone think of a more general name so that [decimal-expansion] can be made a synonym of this?
E.g., this question: math.stackexchange.com/q/44866.
@KannappanSampath Block 4 of the standalone homework questions retagged.

By searching Google Books it seems that g-adic and b-adic are used by some authors.
Maybe it's better to search for g-adic expansion and b-adic expansion.

The question Uniqueness of the infinite expansion in base b is similar, it is tagged .
