@user21820, @XanderHenderson: there was a recent discussion on meta about this. Since such PSQs get deleted usually, the only benefit the asker gets from closing as dupe is in terms of searching the answer on this site.
I am still undecided on whether they deserve this benefit
But maybe you people are right. Given the flow of PSQ everyday we need to get stricter and stricter.

Anyway I usually close as dupe when the dupe target is in my memory (as my own search capabilities are very limited here).

@ParamanandSingh Again, you can post a link to the duplicate question as a comment.

@XanderHenderson: I had done so in that question when I realized that my close vote can't be changed. But I agree that when in doubt just close as PSQ and leave the dupe target in comments.

@XanderHenderson: voted to close as not about math

So it's nonsense? I'm not missing anything?

Omar ZayedI have an exam 18/12/2020 on kangaroo math for 9th grade and I haven't studied combinatorics and number theory before so I need to study the amount needed for my age before the exam. I think that this question is off-topic: math.stackexchange.com/questions/15756/…
That being said, I don't want to act without getting input---can anyone advance an argument that it is on topic?
