Q: A good graduate complex analysis textbook

Alan C.I'm about to teach a graduate level one-semester complex analysis course. The audience will be very good advanced undergraduate students and first year graduate students. I don't want to use Lang or Ahlfors. I was considering "Complex Analysis" by Elias Stein and Rami Shakarchi or possibly "Co...

AM-GM inequality example is a duplicate of Prove that $\frac{a^2}{a+b}+\frac{b^2}{b+c}+\frac{c^2}{c+a}\geq\frac{1}{2}(a+b+c)$ for positive $a,b,c$. I initially chose a wrong duplicate target, so I had to retract my vote and cannot vote to close anymore.

@JyrkiLahtonen The point is that if some users are so frustrated with some class of questions that they abuse the dupe mechanism to force closure (with poor / inappropriate dupe targets) then that prevents others from posting (optimal / diverse) answers. Based on some of your dupe closures it seems that you may have reached that point of frustration (at various times).

@BillDubuque You are correct in your assessment that I am frustrated. We seem to disagree on what exactly is required from a duplicate. In particular when there already is plenty of related material I think pointing the asker to threads where the key ideas are given is sufficient. As always, closing a question as a duplicate of reasonable target does not stop anyone from adding more diverse answers into that older thread.
Also, my experience is that leaving the door of opportunity open usually does not lead to the addition of more diverse answers. The FGITWs will post whatever they can, which amounts to turning the crank and producing essential duplicates of earlier answers.

@JyrkiLahtonen Yes, it's a judgment call, and apparently I have higher standards than you do in some cases. But I think it is highly unscrupulous to let such judgments be affected by nonmathematical matters such as your apparent strong desire to prevent FGITWs from gaining more rep.
How would you feel if you were a student who had finally mustered up the courage to ask a question that was long puzzling you only to have it quickly closed with a link to a dupe that is far from insightful - but would likely have received far more insightful answers if left open?
Try to show some empathy to beginners. Surely you must remember your own struggles, and must have encountered many times the thought that "why didn't I learn that insight earlier"? Please don't let your FGITW battles prevent others from sharing their insights.

I should remain pingable in this room.

@XanderHenderson It was reopened by 4 users, not just the gold badger. Three additional users also voted to Leave Open in a subsequent close review of it, bringing the total to 7. (I'm not arguing for or against, just commenting).

@TylerH Several moderators have, in the past, noted that they will not vote to close (or reopen) a question unless that question already has four close (or reopen) votes, since their vote counts for more.
I would hold gold badgers to the same standard
