Argh! Bare PSQ

Not very happy with this 3-in-one-problem statement

Hello all. I am not entirely sure what more can I do here, but I sincerely feel that this answer, as is, is very harmful to this site. It is stating quite explicitly as an opening statement, and also in the comments of the question itself, that trying to apply one of the most well-known and fundamental tools of real analysis "leads us into a morass of missing definitions " (...)

If somebody could help me getting my point across to the answerer, which has tacitly ignored my attempts of pointing out that he is mistaken, I would greatly appreciate.

Please, any one tell me, how could anyone reasonably upvote this question?, let alone $3$ upvotes?? Needs one more close-vote and a couple downvotes too.
