Oval chain rings are said to be better for power transmission than round chain rings. By the same token, oval rings can be improved even further:

checks-calendar you're about 6 weeks early for 1 April :)
The most extreme case is a two-point chainring - essentially a line.

I really love the effort they put into it. Designing and machining a square chain ring.
@Criggie I beg to differ. I am six weeks shy of being two years late for that 1 April.
"The recipe for the UltraFast lube is surprisingly simple: 1lb of household paraffin wax, 5g of pure PTFE (Teflon) powder, and 1g of pure molybdenum disulfide (MoS2). The wax is melted at approximately 180°F, the powders are added in, and the ingredients are thoroughly mixed with some sort of agitator (Smith uses a common battery powered milk frother)."
I wonder if a larger amount of MoS2 may be used to substitute PTFE.
PTFE really ought not be in any chain lube (wash out).
And PTFE powder is something one certainly cannot handle at home.
100g MoS2 costs about 17 EUR on Ali Express.
From European vendors 100g cost about EUR 90.
Even accounting for margins, that seems strange. Must be something bad about the Ali product.
Ah, now I see, the page I looked showed EUR/kg, regardless of package size.
