Just figured out how to disassemble a cartridge bearing in a jockey wheel. Once you have the seals removed, you push out the cage then move all the bearings to one side and the inner race falls out. Cleaned the bearings and races. Then used grease to hold all the balls at one end, place the inner race back in, slide the balls around to hold the inner race in place, then push the cage back in and finally put the seals back in place.
It has been raining so much lately I have a couple bearings die each week. Trying to stay ahead by repacking cartridge bearings.
 
Fancy ! I only have jockey wheels with bushings.

How's that for a nasty hack? No idea why they did that - perhaps couldn't afford chainring bolts after buying a campy chainring ?

@Rider_X what do you use for lubrication? Marine grease?
