I like more subdued colours.

It would be good to apply a 2k clear coat to prevent fading and scratches.

However, I haven't found out if it is compatible with the colour.

Fancy bike. I tend to make them mechanically sound, but not worry about paint.

Though I did once tart up a decal with a permanent marker pen :)

Well, its bare aluminium I have to paint it.

Then I may try to make it look pleasant as well.

Did oyu consider a clear coat only ?

Not sure - perhaps there's a clear product range that is primer and lacquer to work together.
