where does a person go to explore and bounce an idea off ppl? I tried softwareengineering but it was removed. my question is about isolated component web development where the "page" is more of a workspace that users (IT/business) drag and drop components onto the screen. Said components have inputs/outputs that can be hooked up. Say an Employee Search component has output of EmpId.
Then an employee picture component that has input of EmpId. Drag both onto workspace and drag and drop from output to input. When the search button is pressed it fires the output and any input connected (could be many) raises a method to it's component and gets the EmpId passed in. Now that component can make it's API calls to get the data it cares about. These workspace can be saved off as configuration and dynamically loaded back by the 1 workspace page.
I'm going for:
- The removing of having to manage the "glue" page
- Developers focus on small isolated components vs monolithic apps
- No more giant project/solution files
- Devploymnet isn't the entire app but just copying over html/css/js files for the components worked on
- Each component in a debug mode sorts links directly to it's source in the cloud so when user says this section isn't working or has a bug it's easy to find the code
