I'm here to ask about the requirements for a question in software engineering.

This was my question, now normally i used this site for questions about design/architecture and best practice, and stack overflow for specific language questions
I think asking a preference between VPS and managed cloud is a valid (and not that opiniated question)...don't know why the moderators think it should be closed

@DanyY Since the closers (not necessarily mods; could be high rep users instead) didn't comment, I'm not certain why it got closed. Speculating, it may be because you're not actually writing code in any fashion here, just talking about hosting providers. I haven't spent time there, but perhaps you should check serverfault 's help and guidelines for questions to see if it may be more on topic there?

Please review Clarification of "avoid if-else" advice on software engineering StackExchange. Apply what you learned to the code in your question. Then, if you can, contact the C++ instructor and discuss what you learned with them, that way I think you will better understand the true intent of their instruction. — jewelsea 26 secs ago
