Well, yea, maybe. But this is a programming Q&A site, and the history of the EJB specifications is not really going to help the OP. Basically, Dan is asking the wrong question ... if the goal is to understand EJB concepts and/or decide if EJB is what is required for some project. A question about the history of EJB or its "design principles" or "why certain products don't implement it", etc might be better asked on the SoftwareEngineering site. — Stephen C 39 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. Please take the tour to learn how Stack Overflow works and read How to Ask on how to improve the quality of your question. Then check the help center to see what questions you can ask. Please see: Why is “Is it possible to…” a poorly worded question?. — Progman 21 secs ago

Welcome to Stack Overflow. This is not a place to ask for recommendations on software stacks, rather, it is made for specific coding questions. If you have a design doubt, Software Engineering Stack Exchange is probably a better place for you. — Marc Sances 57 secs ago

When you already know your co-workers and how they approach work, that is fine as they probably haven’t changed all that much since the start of the pandemic. You cannot safely transfer those assumptions to new team members, however, as people remain people, rather than the microservices that they may seem over the internet.
