So I'm wondering what opinions you guys here have about loving your software app too much to end up writing awesome extra features that you don't have time for and are not getting paid for.

I have an app developed for a huge bank, they're pretty happy with it but lately I want to revamp the whole UI because it looks so horrible! But sigh I don't have the time or money, but so much temptation!!!

@gideon and I know what you mean about wanting to work extra on something just because you love the project... I used to stay late to work on one project because I really loved working on it. I looked at the extra time spent as good experience and as replacing my hobby project time
