askubuntu.com/questions/375176/ubuntu-12-04-2d-hibernatization the answer here is clearly an extension of the question or comment. Flagged NAA

someone just upvoted Q?

no. you wanted to dv too?

yeah

ok.
it was me removing dv because it required 1 more

we have enough questions about that I think
yeah I think if it needs two downvotes, we can post here and both vote

6:14 AM
agreed

I added my flag to the answer

thanks

thank you!
or instead of posting here, you could leave a note on the card like you did :) good idea

I post here even after commenting on the card if quicker action is need.

yes, I think that's right, and I read everything here

6:23 AM
what is the difference between this and your other answer 408 error in browser using Google or openid on some networks in Ubuntu? — Braiam Nov 23 '13 at 13:47
same solution for different problems or the problems are also same?
anyway upvoted

I believe it is the same, but I'm really clueless about networking and stuff like that. I agree with the upvote

6:39 AM
did you flag the answer too? askubuntu.com/questions/455659

why did you VTC here? askubuntu.com/questions/375456/… Shouldn't we just downvote if the Q is NAA to avoid putting the Q in the queue?
@Anwar I didn't flag that, but I saw it in review queue yesterday and I clicked "Recommend Deletion"

ah. yes.. forgot it
do you think that question should be downvoted?

sorry, just to be clear, which one are you asking about whether it should be downvoted?

^ recover unallocated space question

it has already been downvoted, not by me... and it is closed anyway, so there's nothing to do?
are you saying we should upvote it to save it from roomba?

6:45 AM
no. the dv was done by me
dv causes it to get deleted right?

ah I see, sorry for being slow, yes DV will cause it to be deleted
I VTC that one because I didn't want to flag the A, but you flagged and downvoted so now we have superkilled it

I was asking if it should be saved from auto deletion.
and Thank you for correcting me on VTCed card

yeah I get you now... I don't think we need that question so I would leave the downvote. Maybe I should have taken the action you did, to avoid CV queue, but I'm too cautious about flagging. I see the answer has not been deleted yet. This way we are safe even if that does not happen - the Q is closed, and if the A does get deleted, then Q will be deleted, which is fine.

ok. i'll leave dv there.

@Anwar :)
haha that was a ramble from me! I should have just said I think Q can be deleted without hurting AU

6:57 AM
oh. do you hear sound when anyone mention in the chat? we used to hear sounds. but now i don't hear anything
bbl

7:12 AM
no I never hear sound, but it's mainly because there are no Linux drivers for my sound card ;)
thanks for reviewing my cards ^_^

oh ... :)
we used to hear sounds. I even wrote a meta post about it. don't know if that's removed

idk if you can shed any light here @jokerdino it seems like technically you comment-answered the Q askubuntu.com/questions/375298/… (although I can't remember a single thing from 2013 myself...)

9:51 AM
@Zanna oh

10:33 AM
@Anwar someone VTCed that..

hmm... not us I think

yes, none of you

that's good

@Zanna just gonna close it as a bug.

10:57 AM
thanks, I archived the card :)

11:51 AM
so my current thinking, please find the problems...
make 3 new lists on the board - skipped by A, skipped by Z and the blacklist
--
workflow for Anwar & Zanna:
while looking at card from To Be Reviewed, if fixable, move to reviewed by $ME, else, move to skipped by $ME
while looking at card from Reviewed by $NOT_ME, if agreed, archive, if unsure, move to Reviewed, if disagree, comment here &/or leave a note on the card
while looking at card from Skipped by $NOT_ME, if agreed, move to blacklist, if can fix, move to Reviewed

12:28 PM
@jokerdino I think I don't fully understand what you mean by this (just saying because I'm still thinking about the subject)
Problem: what to do with current pending/unsure/deferred list (which is obsoleted by my new suggestion)
suggestions:
- move the whole lot to blacklist & forget about it :\
- move it back into To Be Reviewed and pretend it never happened :\
- try to go through it now together and fix if possible or move to blacklist through discussion

Btw, I think this is a silly comment, but if it were a comment on my answer, I could answer all those questions (I don't think it's worth editing the answer, so perhaps it's not worth answering the comment) askubuntu.com/a/824788/527764

2:21 PM
@Zanna that works for me.
@Zanna also cool with third option
@Zanna it looks like a response to your answer and you can choose what to do with it
Totally up to you.
@Zanna what I mean there was we should have a mechanism to expire old questions in order to ensure those that are not relevant anymore (supposed bugs fixed by later updates,, use cases that are not needed anymore, issues that OP has but have since been resolved by either upgrading hardware or simply because he doesn't care anymore and all other similar things) are culled from the site.
If we get rid of such irrelevant questions, we can then better focus on all the relevant stuff.
If what we closed as irrelevant turns out to be relevant even now, those questions should be asked newly. This is because asking it newly gives a lot more significance to it compared to several years old question. We are reducing the burden of duplication of the person asking it newly by handing him a clean slate of sorts.
I doubt I am making any sense right now but it made sense to me yesterday and even now. I am just not sure how to articulate what I mean.

@jokerdino Thank you for taking the time to elaborate I was just feeling that, in articulating my own version of this, I can't get that point clear. I need to think more.
@jokerdino ah great, as long as @Anwar agrees with it
@jokerdino phew :D
@jokerdino ok... please could you make it into a comment on my answer, and I will reply to it later?

2:54 PM
@Zanna Done

<3

@Zanna yes me too. It's hard for me to explain that point better but I can try again from scratch later if you need a clearer message.

4:11 PM
@jokerdino oh please don't trouble yourself... eventually I hope I will be able to write my own thoughts, I just need time. I'm slow like that.

4:43 PM
@jokerdino hmm how to commence...

@Zanna Oh sure then. Why are you writing them? Anything came up on meta?
@Zanna good question

4:58 PM
@Zanna Nice workflow! Agree with it.
sorry that I couldn't make good contribution to it lately

stop fixing problems

@Anwar great! :D

I linked that because we might be doing some of that when we are deciding on a workflow.

@Anwar you have been contributing, as evidenced by the activity feed, I just archive the cards you reviewed asap so @jokerdino can't do them first and thus end up reading every single post...

5:10 PM
Noooooo

@jokerdino accurate.

and the mouseover text too

Back shortly...

Wait a second, how did that get 3 stars? We only have 2 active users. O-o

mod power?

5:17 PM
No, I didn't do a thing.

5:44 PM
Maybe it was @edwinksl, he sees everything

it may or may not be me

@jokerdino er... bad self-answer, we just pick cards, dump some links in here and we can discuss?

sounds good

@jokerdino no my idea is to write something only for my own peace and to give to you in case it's any use
@jokerdino ok :) I think we need to make those new lists, so we have somewhere to move the ones we cannot fix

6:04 PM
@Zanna oh that's cool then.
I also sometimes write as a cathartic exercise.
@Zanna You got powers.

6:21 PM
@jokerdino Oops sorry... now I've done it
Some already have notes from me and @Anwar - if I agree with Anwar's skipping, I think I should move straight to the can't fix list

6:53 PM
I think we could do something about these two.
Keep them around for now. We'll nofixlist it later.

wrote a very ugly ruby script. but it retains comma. will it help?
bbl

7:08 PM
yes

7:20 PM
@Anwar I just use tab instead, fixed it, but thanks for the script :D
@jokerdino the first one I thought so, I skipped but I think you guys can fix. The second one... broke my plan then :p
I don't know this later, so I am just going to wait for you to tell me and carry on with what I can do :)

I wish we can transcribe the video or something.
And I feel there is an answer somewhere in the first question as well.
Because of these reasons, I am not sure if they should be in NoFixList.

8:12 PM
@jokerdino ah now I am ashamed. Thank you for reminding me again to care enough askubuntu.com/a/460431/527764
you are amazing

You are saying things I should be saying.
Seriously, what was that? OMG, that is incredible. I am ashamed because I can't put in that kind of effort..

It was not much effort really. But I can only do such things because of you

That's not true at all.

I am not going to have that kind of argument now because it's much too late 5 timezones ahead of here

8:33 PM
Yes, I will continue it in the evening tomorrow.

;)

8:44 PM
I VTC this apparently, and I can't do so again, but the problem literally went away by itself askubuntu.com/questions/281952/…

@Zanna ok i VTCed as no-repro

thanks! :)
