I wondered whether looking at answers and questions which have exactly the same DeletionDate would give a list that includes all self-deleted questions. But probably that still misses quite a lot of them. Or at least I would expect that there are many more such questions than what I get here: data.stackexchange.com/math/query/1542922/…

The list also includes roomba.

@LalitTolani: It means that some moderator has taken note of your flag and upon investigation did not find the evidence of the problem you mention in the flag. This is one of the standard reasons for declining a flag.

If there is any specific flag of yours that has not been handled properly (according to your satisfaction) then we can discuss in some chatroom (private) if you wish.

In case of decline I usually try to give specific response so that there is no confusion for the flagger.

This should maybe be a CURED question but this seems like a slightly better place for it: is it appropriate (in the mods' opinions) to edit a question to remove unrelated rhetoric? I'm looking at the last paragraph of math.stackexchange.com/questions/4351955 in particular, which may at some point have been related to something but currently just reads as an orphaned rant...

With respect to that question, the last paragraph should also be reformatted. The extreme bold is annoying.

@MartinSleziak Thank you for your feedback. Yes, quite a lot has changed since 2013. One thing, of course, is the EoQS. With that, answers to poor quality questions should not have been written in the first place, so I wonder how important it would be to flag self-deleted questions of those. Also, for other lower-quality questions, even if not closed, if the answer is short & basic, should that be flagged? I hope to get a response from at least one mod about this.

@JohnOmielan The EoQS is not about the length or level of an answer---short and basic answers are fine, as long as they are answering questions which meet the site's quality standards. The concern is that answers to low-quality homework questions encourage people to ask more low-quality homework questions, and that answers to duplicate questions encourage people to forego searching and ask more duplicate questions.

The goal of the EoQS is to interrupt this feedback cycle, and bring awareness to the problem.

So... please flag answers to low-quality questions (regardless of the quality of the answer---if someone posts a very high quality answer to a terrible question, there are ways of removing the question and preserving the answer).

However, my original query from about 14 hours ago was more about when to possibly flag self-deleted questions with an answer. Martin linked to a 2013 meta post about this, but I thought changes since then, like the EoQS, would affect whether or not to flag those self-deleted questions.

I have very mixed feelings about self-deleted questions (and I apologize---I misunderstood your original question, and thought you were asking about self-deleted answers).

Generally speaking, raise a flag. When I have more time, I am generally happy to take a look.

And I think that the community should be responsible for deciding whether or not a question is, at the end of the day, worth keeping around.
