@ArcticChar I provided the proof in the flag description, but the problem is one from the entrance exam to MIT PRIMES - which is due on November 30th. It is Problem G1 from here: math.mit.edu/research/highschool/primes/materials/2022/…
Ah, never mind, I see that it has been taken down. Thanks!

@TheSimpliFire: I noticed that the user relevant to my last flag has been suspended, but my flag itself is still "pending". Is there a reason? Thank you.

Can I please have my rep restored?

It is just because of SE things

It might be caching. That tends to break things on SE.

nothing any mods can do about it, it takes a bit of time for things to get restored after a suspension ends

@hyper-neutrino Thanks!
@hyper-neutrino It was just one day. Maybe I'll suggest to CMs to tell users 25 hours, so they can ensure that after a one day suspension, they'll have a whole hour to handle things. :-) But thanks for the info.

@amWhy what if you visit math.stackexchange.com/reputation ? I don't actually know if it accomplishes anything but might as well give it a try

6:23 PM
@hyper-neutrino I'm guessing I'll be heavily downvoted, because regular users have likely tired of such request. I did click "contact us", "other", with a request to restore my rep. But it certainly wouldn't hurt for me to search for dupes, in case there are suggestions.

@amWhy well, it'll get restored sooner or later, you just need to wait for the system to process it. someone suggested that visiting the /reputation page might trigger a recalculation, but that's just a guess

@hyper-neutrino Thanks again, @hyper-neutrino :-)
Yikes, I forgot to submit my "contact us" alert. :( I did try refreshing the rep tab. I'll wait, but I'm only free for the next 18 minutes, now, and then have to teach.

Randomly browsing rooms and came across this convo, which I think I may be able to be (a little bit) helpful with. After a suspension, your profile's flagged for a rep recalc, which apparently takes about one hour after the suspension is lifted.
If it takes longer than that hour, I'd consider a contact us message. Before then, patience is a virtue!

@Spevacus Thanks! I don't think I ever remember it taking that long. That means my suspension is effectively going to be at least 28 hour suspension, given I'll not be able to participate on site, until then. I'll consider suggesting on meta.se that they add an hour when announcing to users when they are are no longer suspended. I was counting on forty five minutes on site, before teaching.

Yeah that sucks, I'm sorry. There's also the possibility that it's taking longer because of how high your rep is and how many helpful posts you have.
I don't know the specifics of how the recalcs work/how long they take, so I have no idea if that's a thing or not.

6:37 PM
@Spevacus Indeed. Thanks for stopping in with the info!!

Np! Good luck, and happy teaching!

7:12 PM
My students (this class virtual), are working on a short quiz. Thank you @hyperlink and @Spevacus for listening and responding with helpful suggestions, and moral support. I'm not used to that on this site. In any case, my rep was restored as my effective suspension entered its 26th hour, on a one day suspension. Seriously, I appreciate your responding to me!

No problem! Glad it got sorted without needing any staff involvement.

@Mast How would I have known that? As I said, if "they were aware of it as you claim, why didn't they acknowledge my question? Instead of belittling a user like you did here, think, and stop prior to sarcasm.
I am quite heartened by the support from @hyper-neutrino, and @Spevacus!

@amWhy I'm not belittling anyone and I'm getting tired of you feeling attacked every time someone says something you disagree with. You have simply no idea how patient the Math moderators have been and how much they've defended you over the years. They deserve more credit than you give them.

You did, but I didn't disagree with anything you said. :-) See ya, @Mast

Apparently you disagree with me right there.

7:22 PM
Only because you misrepresented what transpired. I give credit where credit is due. It's all good! ;D @Spevacus or @hyper-neutrino, do you know if it typically takes longer for one's rep to be restored, on a site's meta site, though it's been restored on the main site already?

@amWhy From my experience, meta rep does tend to lag behind main site rep behind when significant changes happen, such as bounties (both given and received). Not sure if there's an exact reason beyond just "blame caching" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@amWhy Yeah, meta sites have trouble syncing reputation apparently. That report's backlogged for a fix, so hopefully we see that problem go away soon.

@hyper-neutrino I'll have to replicate your emoticon!

@Spevacus While this report focuses on the number listed in "Your communities" I have seen this reflected in actual reputation values. I'd personally give it a full 24 hours before becoming too concerned, unless it's preventing you from participating at all on meta (It shouldn't, though)

@Spevacus It is preventing me, though. Back to class! Thanks, again!

7:42 PM
It might sync up an hour after your main site profile's rep was recalc'd correctly. Spitballing there, though.

8:22 PM
Ayy, there it is. All fixed.
