Should we consider an "abstract duplicate" for questions of the form Find the values of $a$ for which this system of linear equations has one, no solution, or infinitely many solutions? There are very very many of them.

^^^ Or are "abstract duplicates" out of favor? Abstract duplicate meaning the solutions to the problems proceed in the same exact manner, save the which unknown coefficient and the coefficients of variables are used and where they appear.

^^^ And yet @JoséCarlosSantos answered the linked question anyway, before closure as a dupe could begin, even after reading my comment first posted in CURED, and then coming here to see where I moved it, as well as another user answering.

To the moderators: amWhy is lying: I posted my answer first, and read her comment only after that. Please delete her comment.

I did not see your answer when I commented. I am sorry i missed that, and I'm sorry I was mistaken. I did not lie. Please forgive me for my error. But I do wish you'd spend more time looking for obvious duplicates than immediately answering them, @JoséCarlosSantos

@amWhy I believe you. I have closed the question as a duplicate and I will delete my answer.

@user21820 Typically, it has to be escalated by mods to the CM's, the only one's able to replenish rep lost to such targeting.
